Chelsea Petaja, Nashville Vendor: Hair Accessories Website: Oh My Deer! About Me: "Oh, My Deer!" was born out of a love for play-on-words and getting my hands dirty. I live in Music City USA in a little loft with brick walls, concrete floors and my husband. I teach Visual Arts at a Montessori school that grows organic vegetables and composts nearly everything. It satisfies the hippie in me. I make flowers and feathers for your hair that I hope make you feel beautiful. Sometimes I make drawings and invitations for your eyes. And then that leaves everything in between that I pretend to know how to do.
About ohmydeer

OK, well maybe in this case it’s buttons and lace, but lace that looks like a doily… plus feathers. This is a mock up for boutonnieres for a friend’s wedding.   We had a fantastic “craft night” filled with good food, great drinks, and the best of friends to finish these up.

We all pitched in to make these beauties; I love how people who love this bride so much were all able to contribute to these little gems. I’m also nuts about the variety each piece has. Using the different lace for the flowers just happened that way (since I’d fouled up and not bought enough), but I think the end result is much more interesting than if we’d used the same trimming throughout.

Ohhh buttons! I love buttons. The sassiness of the black/white with the sweetness of the doily is very nice.
