Fast-forward through two and a half years of dating, and Tec and I were standing in a barn in the countryside of Tennessee, singing hymns, walking down aisles, pledging vows, and kissing the bride! From the get-go, our vision of the Big Day was in sync, and after we made the big decisions (photographer, location… and dress!) everything else just fell into place. It also helped that we agreed that our only splurge would be the photographer. Go figure, right? Ha. (FYI, my husband is a wedding photographer. There was really only one option for him: Jose Villa.) We knew that if we had someone making our day look as epic as it actually was, we would get creative and work out the relatively tight budget accordingly. And with tons of sweat and love from our friends and family, a beautiful day full of love and romance and memories was pulled off. I truly can’t imagine it having been any more “us”.

This is going to sound kind of funny, but a friend sent me your wedding once (I forget from which blog) talking about how gorgeous it was, and I remember saying to her, “Oh, that’s a fake wedding, I think it’s for a photographer’s workshop. It is too perfect to be real.”
I just sent her this link and she said, “Hey, dummy, I sent you that wedding and you said it was fake!”
Needless to say, your wedding was too good to be true! So beautiful!
I’ve seen this wedding on Jose Villa’s blog and when I first saw it, I thought ‘this couple is so gorgeous, this must be a staged photo shoot for a magazine!’ Absolutely stunning. Well worth the splurge!

I have been in love with your wedding photos ever since I saw them on Jose’s blog. The bike get-away photo is my favorite, though with such gorgeous photos, it’s hard to choose just one.

and ps–the shoes are a great story: i bought them at “ross” (like the ‘dress for less’ store) for $14.99! i told you we were on a budget! 
pps–yes, the dress is a claire pettibone. another good story: it was way out of our price range, so after trying it on and falling in love with it, the women at the boutique (kelly’s closet in atlanta; go go go!) said that if my husband would come and photograph the claire pettibone trunk show they were having in a few weeks, they would take off a quarter of the price because they love to barter!
ppps–i’m not sure who the designer of the engagement ring is, but the wedding band is a tacori.

@Josalyn: Josalyn–The suit is from Express. He also tailored the suit to make it more “smooth” as he says.

@Ris: thanks ris! unfortunately the only thing i know about the veil is that it was bought at a boutique in nashville when they were having a huge sale… the boutique is called “village bridal” and it was bought for my sisters wedding in the fall of 2007. sorry i couldn’t be more help…
