Scotia and Juan were a referral from another awesome couple Jana and Juan (pictured below), and from the time I met with them to talk about their wedding and then shot their engagement photos, I knew they had something special. And I knew their wedding was going to be special too. They thought of everything! From the wonderful location to the amazing extras like a photobooth and a cigar roller, these two made sure their friends and family would have a great time. And I think you can tell they did. Check out Scotia's extra sassy Monique L'huillier gown she had altered to make into a mini for the South Beach style after hours party. What a great idea!!! (Sorry all you ladies who are campaigning for 2 dresses, but I'm a practical gal at heart.)
Before I sign off of this post I want to give a shout out to some of the spectacular vendors involved in the wedding. First of course Kevin Covey who designed the event. Square Root designed the florals. WOW is all I can say about the wonderful job they did! And last but definately not least one of my favorite video teams ever, Layer Cake Films, did an amazing job all day long and were so easy to work with. Michelle was shooting super 8 and I can't wait to see the footage from the wedding. I heart super 8 and the Layer Cake Films team. @Miss Meatball: thank you miss meatball. the florist was the fabulous square root. im not sure about what kind of flowers they were but give them a call and im sure theyd let you know.
@Mrs. Bee: thank you too mrs bee! the lighting was amazing. it can really make or break a setting. the light changed colors in the dance floor, i think there were even more colors than that. it really is nice when a wedding is professionally lit.
Florals & Event Design: wow. Event lighting: wow. Bride & Groom: make me want to cry!!! So beautifully captured Leigh!! Visual deliciousness all around. i wish more brides would just let those tears roll rather than wiping them away (and I wish I shot in more locations where I have the ability to get that close!!)

About Me: People often ask me how I got my start in wedding photography. The truth is i fell into it. Almost by accident. But after my first wedding I was sold. I moved full force ahead. And within a year I went full-time leaving behind my life as a therapist and social worker. And the rest, as they say, is history. I love the votives and strands of florals hanging from the branches. And the shot you got of the bride mid-ceremony was just stunning.
