I have always had this fascination for terrariums, especially miniature ones. The idea of a tiny world, all closed up and thriving on its own is so cool! While perusing design*sponge, I saw these great ones by The Oak Leaves available on Etsy. They are just so perfect, made in old glass jars and they even sell terrarium accents!! I mean seriously! The little mushrooms are available in customizable colors as well. There is something so whimsical about mushrooms. These are SO on my holiday wish list.
For those of you that have the DIY bug, I have found some great projects that show you how to make your very own terrariums! These would be such great holiday gifts, and I am always a big believer in homemade holiday gifts. The first project, shown using glass domes can be found over at Domino. Cottage Living posted this cool ornament terrarium. Let me know if any of you try these!
