I first met Jenny at my beloved Coffee Bean. She was joined by her then-fiancé, along with both of her parents. It was an INSTANT click. Seriously. I knew right away that we were a match made in wedding planning heaven! Jenny envisioned an elegant, luxurious event with great music, great food, and a beautiful atmosphere that inspired each guest. We settled on a cool & crisp palette of soft sage and celery greens paired with creamy whites. I would characterize Jenny's style as modern traditional: she carries herself with the grace of a bygone era, but also embodies a more whimsical aesthetic all her own. She has always reminded me of the late Jackie Kennedy, with her glowing smile and impeccable fashion sense.
(Jenny wins the “client whose closet i'd like to raid” award.. haha.) Her wedding was much like one of her perfectly pulled together outfits: tailored, preppy, and charming.
It was a DELIGHT working with Jenny, Andrew, and their families over the months. I was honored to attend both her bridal shower as well as the day-after taco fiesta at the home of her parents.
I even received a tear-jerker email from her aunt after the wedding week, which was full of very kind words. The entire process was a true labor of love. All of our ideas and inspiration came together beautifully, and the ultra-fab Jasmine Star (accompanied by her sweet husband, JD) was there to capture it! Many thanks to Jasmine for these delicious images… she always knocks it out of the park!! It was an honor (and a blast!!) working alongside her.

Jenny's romantic bouquet featured fluffy hydrangea, crisp green cybidium ochids, and a handful of intensely fragrant gardenia blooms.

Jenny's exquisite necklace was made by her father. hH faceted the brilliant tourmaline and featured it on a strand of timeless pearls, along with one striking black pearl for contrast. Her father also made gorgeous emerald jewelry for Jenny's beautiful mother, Rosy.

I love these two shots of jenny. She is so effortlessly gorgeous!

I absolutely love this portrait of Jenny & Andrew!

Jenny's lovely gown was custom-made at L'ezu Atelier in Beverly Hills. The rosette on the neckline and lace along the back of the dress were salvaged from her mother's wedding gown. I love the sentimental and vintage touch.

This shot is breathtaking!

Their ceremony took place at the awe-inspiring St. Andrew's church in Pasadena. Check out Jenny's incredibly detailed mantilla… it was also her mother's veil.
Everytime I see a mantilla, I am more and more saddened that I didn't don one for my own wedding!

A view down the aisle during their ceremony. We lined the aisle with fluffy white pomanders using lisianthus and green dendrobium orchids.

The reception took place at the Westin Pasadena, one of my faves. A look at the scrumptious details! The centerpieces were striking in their simplicity: tall, fluted glass vases filled with stems of (my favorite!) delicate, white phalaenopsis orchids and looped bear grass. Tables were dressed in ivory satin linens, topped with striped organza overlays in a sweet apple green. Fruitwood chiavari chairs and silver-rimmed crystal chargers finished the look. I made the table numbers at home & designed the menus using a beloved Martha Stewart template.

A lively, extended cocktail hour featured the sounds of guitar group Café Fuego (courtesy of Debois Entertainment) and a mouth-watering seafood station. ceviche, jumbo shrimp cocktail, and ahi tartare in a spoon… YUM!

Warm amber lighting and pinspotting made the ballroom all at once intimate and dramatic.

The night was filled with tender moments… including three touching toasts that brought me to tears. TC & the Traffic Jamm (also of Debois Entertainment) ROCKED the house all night long. I have never heard a wedding band so fantastic! A great night was had by all and i went home, as usual, feeling blessed to have been a part of it. ![]()
