Flush Designs, Pasadena Vendor: Invitations, Event & Floral Design, Photography Website: Flush Designs About Me: Flush Designs is run and owned by me, Courtney C. Keefe de Jauregui. It is all encompassing, from the custom & handmade invitations seen at my website, to full exploration in event styling and design, to flower arranging, to playing sidekick and second shooter to my husband's wedding photography. I am working on becoming a wedding "One stop shop". :) I am a graduate in fine art painting, but a self taught graphic designer. As I still needed to get my hands dirty, I started taking letterpress classes, thus becoming my new love. When I am not busy working (usually still in my pajamas) and telling myself to remember to buy a new chair (this one hurts), I am singing to my 3 cats and enjoying a cold pint with my husband at our favorite local Irish pub. Maybe it's in the reverse order. :)

Save the Date Finished

January 13th, 2009 @ 6:25 pm by Courtney @ Flush Designs

I designed my great friend Nicky’s save the date. As her mind changed where she wanted to get married, so did the design of the save the date. However, when she set a place and a time, and I was able to come up with a design that fit her style. She is a seamstress and made her own gown out of organic cotton and other raw fabrics, so we decided to play on the idea of fabrics for the save the dates and invites.

The save the date is very simple letterpress tri folded. Then it was wrapped in torn strips of muslin, copper wire tied and curled to represent the twirly vines in a vineyard, and a monogram wax seal to hold it all in place. It really looks beautiful.  As I helped her plan her wedding, we brought the torn muslin in everywhere we could in the decorations. It really had a natural and very organic feel.

The letterpress is a rich shimmery chocolate brown and a fun copper. It is a bit hard to open but worth it!!

It’s so stunning and I love the simplicity of it as well as the nod to ee cummings.

Do you hand cancel the invites/save the dates if you use a wax seal INSIDE the envelope?

Thanks.
