Courtney @ Flush Designs's Picture
Flush Designs, Pasadena Vendor: Invitations, Event & Floral Design, Photography Website: Flush Designs About Me: Flush Designs is run and owned by me, Courtney C. Keefe de Jauregui. It is all encompassing, from the custom & handmade invitations seen at my website, to full exploration in event styling and design, to flower arranging, to playing sidekick and second shooter to my husband's wedding photography. I am working on becoming a wedding "One stop shop". :) I am a graduate in fine art painting, but a self taught graphic designer. As I still needed to get my hands dirty, I started taking letterpress classes, thus becoming my new love. When I am not busy working (usually still in my pajamas) and telling myself to remember to buy a new chair (this one hurts), I am singing to my 3 cats and enjoying a cold pint with my husband at our favorite local Irish pub. Maybe it's in the reverse order. :)

Lens Baby!!

January 15th, 2009 @ 3:58 pm by Courtney @ Flush Designs

My husband and I shot a wedding in September; as usual, he took fantastic photos! But I want to share with you some of the experimental photos I took. As the associate shooter I am more of the camera B or the fly on the wall, which gives me a lot more ability to experiment. These were all taken with the “lens baby” which can capture awesome photos. It is definitely a hard lens to use, but it is so fun. I also played with different color palettes to give them an aged and timeless look. It is for sure the more “artsy” look, but I LOVE IT!

i LOVE the shot of the girl kissing the guy on the head. i don’t know what’s in the foreground (is that a flower?!) but they all have such an enchanting feel.

These pictures are really neat! They give such a difference perspective. Makes me think of a “drunk love” kind of feeling… The cake shot is too cute!

Have you used the tilt shift at all? How do you feel like they compare?
