Last year, one of my assistants, Anne Millet got married. I remember being so excited for Anne because she is one of those special people in my lives. Anne moved back from the East Coast after launching an invitation line. Her work, Mira Aster, is very crafty and organic so I wanted to put that same care into her wedding bouquets and flowers.
For her summer wedding, I remember Anne giving me carte blanche to do what I wanted for her very intimate wedding ceremony on the beach (with a handful of family members in attendance). I was honored to make her these lovely little personal flowers. I made all different types of boutonnieres using whatever materials I loved. From garden roses to raspberry brambles, to interesting tree foliage and wheat foliage, it was a designer’s dream.
Word of advise from Anne. When you want something unique, let your designers find the freshest ingredients and let them run with it!

These are beautiful. I will definitely tell my florist to just go for it. I love the creativity that happens when there is more freedom
