Weddingbee PRO
I just returned home from several days out of the country to learn that I was chosen to be a Weddingbee Pro Blogger. I could not feel more honored to be a part of such a talented group of wedding professionals. I’m a full time calligrapher and I couldn’t love my “job” more. I’ve been studying calligraphy since the age of twelve and after getting a degree in Business, I decided that a 9 to 5 position in a cubicle just wasn’t for me.
I’ve been artistic since I learned to hold a crayon, and I’ve always loved to paint and draw, so turning calligraphy into a full-fledged career was the perfect solution. Now I spend my days lettering wedding invitations and sketching maps, and I find it to be fun, relaxing, and challenging all at once. When I’m not working on weddings, I enjoy accumulating stamps in my passport, hiking in the beautiful Southern California sun, and playing with my dogs, among many other things. I hope very much that I can provide some insight into the artform of calligraphy, and its many uses for weddings and life in general.
