My cousin looked at me doubtfully when I answered last month that my favorite thing about the holidays is “giving gifts.” Of course I really love receiving gifts too (really, getting presents is the best thing ever maybe), but what I really meant by that is wrapping gifts. Gift wrapping from early November to late January takes up a lot of my time and a lot of our space in the house–all of our wrapping stuff is still in the living room because I use it every day to package, wrap, and mail the orders I receive.
Everything is better when it's beautiful.
I've been browsing around ThinkGarnish.com, a really creative website that has lots of inspiring ideas for packaging. They provide all the raw materials and ideas you need to make a lasting impression for a party or a gift using fun packaging.
Think Garnish offers lots of decor and party ideas like these provisions for a winter day in…

…or supplies for a memorable game night…

…this stuff would make great favor containers for weddings
…supplies for a bridal shower
…containers to hold craft supplies for a girls night in
…a cute personal custom detail when giving food and gifts to out-of-town guests
…boxes for homemade bridesmaid survival kits (clear nail polish, safety pins, shout wipes, we all know the drill)
…obviously the applications are endless!
For you crafters, there are obviously tons of uses as well. A lot of the boxes (like this chipboard clamshell) would be great for kits, and the bottles could hold glitter or paint.
Every aspect of these decor themes are carefully explained and include instructions on how to achieve the right look and all the elements of each style–from kraft paper food trays ($0.50), to windowed take-out boxes ($2.20/box), to unique clear tubes ($2.25) great for holding candy, trail mix, cocoa mix, or even confetti!
