About nancyliuchin

One huge trend from The Special Events show was the repetition of crystal or bubbled water in lieu of water in clear glass vases. I saw this repeated in many table decor setups. These images from the Accent Decor booth were quite stunning. Bubbles and crystallized water can be found at national floral supply stores. You can also check out Accent Decor for more creative ideas.

This is something I am not sure I will incorporate with our designs, but it is something that we have used for certain decor. My favorite example was a group of low cubes with crystallized water and a LED light attached inside the water, and a single stem of bright green spider mum.

The one thing I learned about using these special effects is that you need to learn how to edit. Some things are great in the right context.

What do you think of this bubble decor?

I have to say, that looked a little bit scary, although personally I find something with too much visual repeating pattern to be kind of scary.

I’m not sure about it in these large vases/arrangements, but I received a little round arrangement once with these, and it was quite subtle and was a subtle complement to the modern arrangement.

I really like it and think it gives a different feel to the arangements. I don’t think you could pull off the bubbles with a more formal event, it seems a bit more playful to me.
