About nancyliuchin

Ever wonder where designers get their inspiration from?

It differs from person to person. For me, I take my cues from fashion magazines, bridal runway shows, and window displays to name just a few. Other times I credit my travels and the many hotels that I stay at for momentary inspiration.

In late 2007, KC and I took a memorable trip to sunny Palm Springs. We stayed at the ever chic Viceroy Palm Springs designed by Top Design Diva, Kelly Wearstle(I'm a huge fan of hers). The goddess of reinvented Hollywood Luxe choose a mixture of bright lemony yellow in complete contrast with accents of glossy black and stark white for the Viceroy PS.

I took the same color combination and mixed them into Tiffany's modern wedding in 2008. You've got to love the way that bright, sunny yellow pops against those dramatic black bridesmaid gowns. The addition of a 10 strand rhinestone cuff around the bridal bouquet and the teardrop crystals added to each of the bridesmaid kissingballs made for a touch of Hollywood glam. I love it!

Where do you get your inspiration?
