I just love how in love these two are with each other! Meridith and Colin are so fun and full of energy. It was great meeting up with them at the Viceroy in Palm Springs for an engagement shoot. I cannot wait until the wedding. See you both soon!

I love the shoe shots! I love the shot where she kisses his hand! Very modern. 
I love that her shoes are worn in a little bit. They really show how important a great pair of shoes are.
Wow, these are awesome. They look more like a fashion shoot than an engagement session.
Such a good idea to go on vacation to a schmancy hotel and get fabulous photos taken. I love that first bed shot where he’s playing with her hair. It looks like so real.

@Mrs. Avocado: you know meridith said that was the second pair of those shoes she had. the first pair split! it took about 2 months for the replacement pair to come in. they were backordered. i can see why!
@K @ BlogGoggles: thank you! one thing i love about this session is the couple is a little different, well i will just say it, they are older. my age - haha! but not in their 20s or early 30s. sometimes you just have to wait a little longer to find your soulmate! isnt it beautiful when it happens!

@Megan: thank you megan! thats always my goal. to capture that realness. that something between the couple thats so them and natural. i usually just put people where i want them and ignore them. then they start being themselves and i start shooting.

About Me: People often ask me how I got my start in wedding photography. The truth is i fell into it. Almost by accident. But after my first wedding I was sold. I moved full force ahead. And within a year I went full-time leaving behind my life as a therapist and social worker. And the rest, as they say, is history. In November I celebrated my 3rd year of being a full-time photographer! Today, I feel so blessed to get to do something I love and to work with amazing couples all over the country and world! I have traveled to the Bahamas, Jamaica, all over Mexico and all the way to England to shoot weddings. I live in southern California with my husband, two sons, two really loud birds and a short, fat yellow lab named Mrs. Jones. All, at various times, make an appearance on my blog.
