About Mrs. Bee @ Weddingbee PRO

Perks.

March 10th, 2009 @ 12:29 pm by Mrs. Bee @ Weddingbee PRO

One of the best parts of my job is that I’ve had the opportunity to meet some of the most talented and successful people in the wedding industry.  I absolutely love hearing how vendors got started, how they grew their business, and where they plan to take their business next.  It’s often inspiring, and it really gets your creative juices flowing!

I recently had a 3 1/2 hour coffee with Weddingbee PRO Sabrina of Hello! Lucky — the time just flies by when you’re talking wedding business!  Sabrina took her business background and her sister Eunice took her design background, and together they started their now super successful letterpress invitation company.  Sabrina is so sweet and savvy — when you know the people and the story behind the products, it makes you love the company even more.

Last week I also had lunch with Sean Low, President of Preston Bailey Designs.  I first met Sean at a Preston Bailey book release party 2 years ago, which I attended with Rebecca of Engaging Concepts (she’s really introduced me to everyone in the wedding industry).  I remember Sean asking me if he was one of the few male readers that read Weddingbee daily. ;)

Sean actually gave me some great insight on projects that I may very well pursue in the near future. With a law, finance, and entrepreneurial background, he definitely has an interesting perspective that you can read all about on his great new blog, The Business of Being Creative.

Preston Bailey and Sean will both be at Engage 09 in the Cayman Islands this June!  I feel so very fortunate that Weddingbee has grown to where it has today, and that I’m able to participate in such an amazing event.  I can’t wait!

In the past I’ve largely worked with brides, but I’ve been meeting with a lot more vendors because of Weddingbee PRO.  It’s amazing how much talent, creativity, and passion there is in the wedding industry!  There truly is no other industry like it. :)

Is there anyone in the wedding industry you’d love to meet?

I just have to say that I LOVE reading about the insider stuff.. your posts are always so interesting. Reading about your workspace, a day in the life, how you got WB started, etc. Maybe it is because I have a BUSINESS MIND (and degrees), but it is also about personal interest in the topic. so thanks, and keep it up! these posts are awesome!

it would be great if other weddingbee pro bloggers wrote about the inside stuff like you do! e.g., photographers and the editing process, equipment that they bring along to a shoot, what are some of their favorite spots…..or stationery designers and some tips on design, printing, layout, etc.

weddingbee rocks, and it has been awesome seeing it grow!
