My friend Mimi got married in Dallas last summer and wanted two ring pillows for her and her then groom. I was excited by the idea of making two pillows and was looking forward to the challenge of not making the groom’s look too feminine. I think they turned out great! I love the classic and simple design of the three peonies (a detail taken from the back of her gorgeous dress).
Most of her wedding details and flowers where white, ivory and shades of green: avocado, sage and light green. I wanted the groom’s pillow to be cohesive with the Mimi pillow so choosing three mums for the groom was the best choice. They are not girly but perfect for the guy.
I have gotten more requests about these two pillows, especially Mimi’s, than any other items I’ve ever made. They truly make a special keepsake.
