About wileyvalentine

I have to start this post by saying thank you thank you thank you to Emily at Once Wed….not only is Once Wed my new blog obsession, but it also led me to my favorite wedding of all time from MS Weddings. We have been scouring our back issues of Martha Stewart Weddings trying to locate that wedding again and we have never been able to find it. I had forgotten all about it until I stumbled across the Big Sur wedding featured over at Once Wed, which took it’s inspirations from the infamous MS Wedding (Lena and Joshua).

Here is the original…I first fell in love with the fabric back drops. I absolutely adore that their are different fabrics and that people took portraits in front of them. I can only imagine what their wedding album looked like! The next thing I absolutely loved was the mix match 60’s patterned dishes that guests dined off of. I mean seriously how amazing is that? The ingredients of the signature drinks were hand illustrated by the bride and hung on branches next to the bar! Lastly I love how the outdoors is incorporated into the wedding, making it feel almost whimsical.

Here is the Big Sur wedding that I found over on Once Wed. Big Sur is an absolutely gorgeous place and this couple completely took advantage of their surroundings. I love the pine cone motif which ties in the location, and the mix match plates again! So fun. The elderberry jelly was made by the bride and her father for guests to take home. I really think it makes a wedding, when the bride and groom infuse their personalities into the details. So fun!
