I Love Entertaining

March 25th, 2009 @ 4:33 pm by Nancy @ Nancy Liu Chin Designs

On the weekends, I love to entertain.  Beside creating flowers and running a business, I love to have small groups of friends over for food.  I usually make one of my signature dishes but seriously, setting the table is so much more fun than cooking.

What I do for my house is very different from what I do for wedding work so I thought I would share one of the many tables that I set for my guests.  One tip is always using one type of flower.  In this case, I used gerber daisies.  It makes a real statement when you use one type of flower.  To contrast the design, I selected very colorful plates.

This one is quirky, fun, festive and very appropriate since it reminds me of my trips to Mexico.  My husband and I are getting ready for our upcoming trip to Puerto Vallerta next week.   Yes, I love being on vacation!

While I’m recuperating from my flu in the sun, I hope all of you will remember this tropical fun table idea.

I totally agree about sticking with one flower. A few big flowers can draw a lot of attention while still making a statement. Enjoy your vacation!

I love the tip of using just one flower. Through your pictures you can see how large of an impact it can make.

Thank you! As you can tell I’m a sucker for one flowers in various colors. It’s simple. The key is really the great table accessories and a funky glass. I’m be thinking of all of your while I’m sipping a Pina Colada in Puerto Vallerta.

Adios!
