An experiment. I started in color and found myself in black and white. There was no bright sun, there were no fantastic flares, just shadows and light and files that I wouldn't touch. Not with a texture — not even with a curves adjustment. Straight out of camera, I say! And so I focused on something else. And I can hear these images. It's not about the images so much as that I found myself submitting to a new way of seeing, and it was great fun. Music time, in Pennsylvania. These images were all taken at the theatre there, in a listening room-type situation. These bands pictured here are the likes of The Wiyos, The Hunger Mountain Boys, and The Two Man Gentlemen Band.
The bass player seemed to always be standing in the best light…

Very compelling photographs. I love natural light photographs. Great job capturing the details, my favorite image is the third one. The two guys on stage. I really like the forth as well.
