Since the Petajas have had a change of plans in terms of our abode (I can't wait to share more about this in the coming weeks!), I'm not going to be able to make the trip down to Hot 'Lanta for the NOTwedding. “Boo” is what I have to say about that.
But to tide us all over, I'll give you a peek at what I've been up to for the shin-dig.

An ivory gardenia sits pretty with peeks of tulle and a pearl and ostrich feather center.

These pretty petals wrap around your head with a braided headband of pink chiffons.
{ Miss Elsie }
A satin wrapped double headband is finished off with tucks of chiffon and tulle in shades of cream.

hi chelsea! i LOVE your work, i think it’s incredible. i was just thinking, i’d really love to see a behind-the-scenes post about what goes into making these guys (gals?)! if it’s not too invasive, could we get a peek at your workspace or a brief description of your process, perhaps? i’d love to hear about how much time you put into each one, or where you get your ideas from, or what materials you use. i’m totally clueless but very curious…

About Me: "Oh, My Deer!" was born out of a love for play-on-words and getting my hands dirty. I live in Music City USA in a little loft with brick walls, concrete floors and my husband. I teach Visual Arts at a Montessori school that grows organic vegetables and composts nearly everything. It satisfies the hippie in me. I make flowers and feathers for your hair that I hope make you feel beautiful. Sometimes I make drawings and invitations for your eyes.
