I love all of the amazing inspiration boards that are put together by designers- it's such a beautiful display of possibilities. However, when I was a bride, I also loved seeing what real brides had done. Brides who had to work on a budget, or for whom the crystal chandelier in the tree wasn't going to be a practical reality. So, a while ago I decided to start doing inspiration board style layouts of wedding details from real weddings. There are about a dozen here and while many revolve around strong color combinations, sometimes more subtle themes emerge from the set of details as well. One thing is for sure, I can't wait to see what creative details the 2009 brides come up with!!

I love inspirations boards. But sometimes they can also make a bride a little crazy and obsessive. You want so many things for your own wedding but sometimes you only have so much time and money. You can only make your wedding day about you and him. But seeing inspiration boards are great for brides who just got engaged and need some ideas…but for brides who are half way through or almost to their wedding day…step back from the wedding blogs! Even though I have another yr I think I need to just stop dreaming and just doing according to my budget! PS…on the pink board I see a guestbook with a photo in it…do you know what they did for the guestbook or what they used? I love your posts!
