Kim is an art teacher at a private school near San Francisco, and the parent of one of her students introduced her to Ping. They decided to get married in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, at Grosse Pointe Academy where Kim’s father is the headmaster. Combining elements of education and Chinese tradition, Kim and Ping’s wedding was a visual delight!

I am going to forego many of the unique storytelling images to share this visual masterpiece with you through the many thoughtful details.

Michigan is the “cherry state.” Kim drew their wedding logo, and it appeared consistently throughout their wedding.

I drooled over the fantastically coordinated invitation, envelope liner and ribbon.

Their nephew was such a sweet ring bearer.

And he wore very cool red Chucks.

Kim and Ping were engaged in Jamaica, hence Red Stripe! Notice the logo on the apron all the wait staff wore?

Kim learned how to play their wedding song on a ukulele and surprised Ping on stage.
