About Emilie @ Emilie Inc. Photography

You have invested in great photography for your wedding (an engagement session or even a family portrait, too). These days, most photographers post your proofs online so there may not be a tangible product to show off from your photography coverage. But, there are many options for showcasing your stunning imagery. Below is a sample of the products I personally love.

The most traditional wedding product is an album. Wedding albums have come a long way since, say, when our parents were married. You are no longer obligated to have a white leather cover with gold gilded edges and lettering (of course, you can still do that if you like, but thankfully there are more modern choices). These days, you can choose from a traditional matted style book to a more sleek coffee table style (also called flush) and even a more chic scrapbook look. I have an in-house designer who walks my clients through the process, from assisting in choosing images to design edits and cover color selection. You have to love your wedding album and therefore, the finished product needs to properly reflect you and your wedding day. It's a process we take very seriously and don't mind the extra hand-holding required to make sure it's perfect.

You don't need to stop at a wedding album though! You can also hang a few images on your walls. We've partnered with a local frame shop to offer stunning framed prints in a variety of sizes, styles and mats.

Stumped with where to hang your new artwork? I put together a 20-page Portrait Display Guide to inspire wall collage creativity. Here are a few examples: //1631445.sites.myregisteredsite.com/uploaded_images/display

Is your taste a bit more modern than a traditional framed print? No problem. Perhaps a canvas print is a better fit for your decor. Gallery-wrapped canvas prints turn an ordinary image into a contemporary piece of art. Any size image (from 6”x6” to 40”x100”) is printed directly onto the highest quality museum-grade canvas using archival inks. The canvas is then stretched over a 1.5” frame and is ready to hang on your wall.

I opted to decorate the walls of my studio with canvas prints. The clean lines of a canvas can make a great focal point over your fireplace, or you can try a trio of same-sized images hung side-by-side on any wall in your house.

Consider these gorgeous fabric folios from Cypress Albums if have a few images you want to showcase in something other than a frame. Folios can feature 2-4 images in horizontal or vertical format for 4×6, 5×5, 5×7 or 8×10 prints.

You can also showcase your favorite wedding or portrait images in a beautiful customized presentation box. Each box comes with cover imprinting and a cover image, and holds 22 8×10 matted prints.

Over 18 elegant Japanese bookbinding fabrics and Swiss ribbons are available. Cypress makes it very easy to match your wedding colors.

Clients are always looking for a way to thank their parents for their support of their wedding day. A great alternative to cloning your wedding album in a smaller size is to purchase a 5×5 hardcover gift book. With one photo per page, this portable token of your appreciation will fit in your mother's purse or father's briefcase to easily show off your wedding without the bulk of a heavy leather book. Each book contains 75 images and you can customize the cover with an image and text of your choice. These are great for portrait sessions as well.

The holidays, I realize, are months away. But it's never too early to start thinking about your holiday cards. Sending and receiving holiday cards is one of my favorite parts of the season so it's never far from my mind! My card list has grown to more than 700 (!), and I want to be sure my card is not a duplicate you may have already received in your mailbox. Many photographers offer custom photo cards, and I launched another website, www.emilieink.com, dedicated to my custom photo cards.

All cards are printed on a matte linen card stock and come with a coordinating plain white envelope. Some designs are flat and others are folded.

And last, but not least, clients love passing around the slideshows set to music that I often feature on my blog. //1631445.sites.myregisteredsite.com/uploaded_images/slideshow

These are available to play on your DVD player or to download on your iPod! Don't have an online slideshow from your event? No worries! We can create your own custom slideshow of your favorite images and song. View a sample slideshow online by clicking here. This is the packaging of your DVD. //www.emilieinc.net/uploaded_images/dvd2

Talk to your photographer about the different products they offer to showcase your wedding pictures. How do you plan on displaying your wedding pictures after the wedding? Do you have any other ideas than the ones listed above?
