A few months ago, Melissa and Patrick in Texas asked me to make a wedding album cover. Before then I had never made one, but I loved the idea! I also made the couple’s ring pillow, so I wanted to keep the two pieces cohesive but at the same time give each their own personality.
Melissa had a cheery and festive color palette to begin with -purple, orange, hot pink, yellow, magenta, and crimson to name a few. The pillow design consists of different types of flowers taken from the bouquet such as cala lilies, peonies, roses and tulips. I added some silver metallic stitching along the border for a modern handkerchief feeling.
For the photo album, I used some details from Melissa’s table runner in combination with the colors from her bouquet and the table centerpieces, which are roses and peonies in deep red and magenta.
