I love to shoot film, but the world has taught me impatience. I shoot film to unlearn impatience, and find myself with some notions to occupy myself otherwise. Keep distracted, while I wait beside the mailbox for what may or may not come.
Husbone is my person. I feel so lucky that I get to travel to different and unknown parts of the world and photograph love with the man I love. I mean, seriously. I love love. And if it weren't for the deep, wide, oceans and stars at night-sized love that Husbone makes available for my personal use, I wouldn't know any better. I remember a time when love songs sounded like words and music, and then the day that I felt those words and music in my bones. The very thought of you? And I forget to do the little ordinary things that people ought to do? TOTALLY! I get it! I'm a basket case with love! That's because of Husbone. And it's just so amazing that so many wonderful people who like photographs would feel that way, too. So, I'm so thankful, for every day, for every wedding, for every couple that comes along and rocks my world with their love. And I'm thankful I know what it means to love someone so much you wish to spend the rest of your life with them. I mean, here we are three and a half years later and I still think about it everyday.
Anyway, when I write of Husbone and love early in the morning, I get a little bit sentimental. This is really just a simple post of our own pictures -Husbone and Poo travel the world style.
The first leg of our journey was a red eye to Paris. We were sleepy.

I began to do detail shots of Husbone with our Canon Powershot. Most of them were of, at magnification, unsightly freckles which I'm afraid Husbone won't let me show you. But I grabbed one of his button, since he was NOT excited in his tiresomeness for me to show him his individual freckles so intimately.

Charles de Gaulle is the best airport I've ever been in. It really puts JFK to shame. Especially the food. Mmmm. Pain au Chocolat. I miss you.

Being sleepy on the plane, and waiting for our first view of Africa, under the dense cloud cover and general extreme humidity haze.

Africa!!

Boomie was kind enough to snap us this photo as a document of our love and Nigeria-style sweatiness.

Security Guards at the Yoruba Ceremony.

Husbone and I, Hanging out with Boomie and David at an American style cafe in a mall on Victoria Island in Lagos, right before our engagement session. Boomie took this one, and it's one of my favorite photos of us.

These are the photos I'll look at in a few years and sigh. “Aww… remember when we went to Africa? That was frakking amazing ridiculous!!”
