These are the times when I’m reminded that I have one of the best jobs in the world. 
Preston Bailey is throwing a star studded 60th birthday bash at Studio 450, planned by his dear friend and celebrity wedding planner Marcy Blum. The elements that go into the affair will be very similar to a wedding, so I’m going to be documenting the behind the scenes of it all! Would you ever believe that Preston is turning 60?!
On Monday, we met at Studio 450 to discuss the layout of the party. The venue is a completely blank canvas, so I can’t wait to see how it’s transformed!
This is the entrance — the elevators are through the glass doors on the left.
There are windows that wrap around the entire space, boasting stunning views of Manhattan and the Hudson River.
Upstairs is where the food will be served. Here you’ll find a large wrap-around outdoor terrace — I hope it’s warm enough the evening of the party for the guests to enjoy!
I’ll be sharing lots more interesting behind the scenes tidbits leading up to the party!
Now my only dilemma is: Do I carry my big dorky DSLR to the party so I can get the best possible pictures, or do I just take my point and shoot? I’m lost without my DSLR I tell ya!

I cannot believe that Preston is going to be 60! Wow, he looks like he’s only 40! You should definitely bring your DSLR… I don’t think the P&S will do justice of the amazing decor that the party is going to have.
