I'm happy to be here as a contributor to Weddingbee PRO! This is such a helpful and vibrant community, and I can't wait to contribute to the great ideas on this website. 

To introduce myself a bit, here are 15 Random Facts About Me:
 
1. I wrote Intimate Weddings: Planning a Small Wedding that Fits Your Budget and Style after planning my own small wedding. I launched IntimateWeddings.com in November 2008.

2. I majored in Visual Art in university, but switched to English Literature halfway through because I decided that I wanted to become a writer.  I still love art and feel disconnected when I haven't painted in a while.

3. I love DIY, and I'm thrilled that the DIY wedding movement is smokin' hot.

4. I am obsessed with creating and collecting ACEO's (Art Cards Editions and Originals.)

5. One of my favourite places in the world is the library.

6. I love coffee. I come from a long line of coffee drinkers. (My brother roasts his own coffee in a pimped up popcorn maker.)

7. I don't watch TV, other than The National before drifting off to sleep.

8. I love Leonard Cohen. Last year's highlight was seeing him in concert in Kitchener, Ontario.

9. I like my music loud.

10. In my mid twenties I made soap and sold it at art fairs. I still make soap but I don't sell it anymore.

11. I question authority.

12. I was very shy in high school.

13. I collect sea glass.

14. I'm impatient. This causes stress.  I am working on it.

15. I am currently obsessed with photography.
