Laura Hooper, Northridge, CA Vendor: Calligraphy Website: Laura Hooper Calligraphy About Me: I've been practicing the art of calligraphy since the age of 12 and nothing gives me more pleasure than waking up each morning knowing I get to do what I do each day. I love having the ability to infuse my own personal style into each of my bride's special day. When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, hiking, reading and painting; but most of the time I don't consider calligraphy to be work at all!
About Laura @ Laura Hooper Calligraphy

[DSC_0099.JPG]

We were very excited to hear from Maria Cooke at Ritzy Bee, that our work was used in a wedding feature on May 13th on the Washington, D.C. Fox morning news special “Wedding Wednesdays.” The piece focused on tips to meet your budget, and our items were used to enhance the decor. The set made good use of our signage, including phrases such as “Nuts for each other” in Camden Script, “She saw him She loved him She got him” in Upright Script and “Something Blue” in Ella Script. You can also see our placecards craftily tucked into the napkin setting at the tables.

You can watch the entire piece here. Many thanks to Maria for thinking of us and using our work! Also, stay tuned for details on our second television appearance later this month on Platinum Weddings!

Very cool! I love the swirls for the “nuts for each other” sign, and those antique books + Something Blue sign is such a nice touch! Also, those wish tickets are adorable.
