Courtney @ Flush Designs's Picture
Flush Designs, Pasadena Vendor: Invitations, Event & Floral Design, Photography Website: Flush Designs About Me: Flush Designs is run and owned by me, Courtney C. Keefe de Jauregui. It is all encompassing, from the custom & handmade invitations seen at my website, to full exploration in event styling and design, to flower arranging, to playing sidekick and second shooter to my husband's wedding photography. I am working on becoming a wedding "One stop shop". :) I am a graduate in fine art painting, but a self taught graphic designer. As I still needed to get my hands dirty, I started taking letterpress classes, thus becoming my new love. When I am not busy working (usually still in my pajamas) and telling myself to remember to buy a new chair (this one hurts), I am singing to my 3 cats and enjoying a cold pint with my husband at our favorite local Irish pub. Maybe it's in the reverse order. :)
About Courtney @ Flush Designs

I will be doing the flowers for a magical wedding coming in late June. I wanted to do a mockup to make sure I could prepare the perfect recipe for all the centerpiece arrangements, bouquets, boutonnières, and ceremony set up, as it is a large wedding. The flowers will be a little wild, a little old world, but overall glamorous. The flowers need to look rich, but still organic, vintage, charming, and ultra sophisticated. The color scheme is to be silvery greens, dark burgundies, blacks, whites, but softened with dusty pinks and soft peaches.

I’m super excited about how these came out! I keep looking over at the arrangement with glee! All the centerpieces will be in the same lovely garden black urns and will sit upon a pile of soft laces surrounded by gold mercury glass votives and vintage style lotus shaped votives in soft pinks and whites.

If the bride likes it, I will paint the number a glittery silver so it rests fabulously in its little bird nest. I added a few soft feathers in the arrangements to bring in that old Hollywood glamour that the Biltmore portrays and relives through its history.

Oh, and there are little hidden butterflies amongst the flowers. The centerpiece is about 12-15 inches in height, so it is still tall enough to work in the 40 foot ceiling ballroom but not so evasive as to block the views of the people at the table.

I also made 2 different bouquets -one a little wild garden-like and one a bit fancier- both fabulous for the bridesmaids. The bride’s bouquet will consist of the fluffiest all white peonies and soft subtle greens…

I hope the pictures speak for themselves…

P.S. This glam is for Miss Glitter!
