Lisa and Carson met on the left coast in San Francisco. Both of their families have roots in Cape Cod, and it is here where they chose to say their I Dos. Despite Carson having ruptured his Achilles tendon just a few weeks before the wedding playing soccer, their big day went off without a hitch. Lisa, a gal after my own heart, did a fantastic job putting together a beautiful event for us to photograph. From the location (a ginormous mansion on the water), the bridal party (again, ginormous, and draped in the most stunning pinks, blues and greens), and thoughtful details (cocktail umbrella drink escort cards, lawn games and a raw bar during cocktail hour, a contra dance caller with a Bluegrass band at the reception…). Here, take a peek for yourself at these stunning details:
Lisa strung together 400 pennant flags on rope around the property for a nautical theme.

Loved the look of their two-tone rings.

How adorable is this flirty t-length dress?

It even has pockets!

Inspired by moi, Lisa donned a cage veil.

Lisa wore three pairs of shoes for the ceremony, formal photos and reception.

The beautiful bridal party. Love all the colors!

Lisa rented an antique Porsche as a surprise for Carson, but she had to drive it because of his injury. She swapped out her pretty party shoes for sneakers.

Inside the classic New England meeting house.

Carson carefully made his way down the stairs after being pronounced husband and wife.

Lisa with her maid of honor during the receiving line. Even though receiving lines eat up a bit of time, I love the emotion during this part of the day.

Back at the house, guests were treated to a lengthy cocktail hour for lawn games including croquet…

… and corn hole.

Drink umbrella escort cards.

Fresh table settings featured white flowers, colorful place cards and paper lanterns.

This was a first: cream puff cake tower!

Congratulations, Lisa and Carson! So happy for you, and the entire Boogaloo crew!

I think Lisa’s dress is sooo incredibly sweet. I feel like it really fits the “feel” of this wedding and her personality. The decor of the wedding is so refreshing and lovely as well. Love the paper ball lanterns!
You did a great job capturing the spirit of this wedding Emilie! =)
