Courtney @ Flush Designs's Picture
Flush Designs, Pasadena Vendor: Invitations, Event & Floral Design, Photography Website: Flush Designs About Me: Flush Designs is run and owned by me, Courtney C. Keefe de Jauregui. It is all encompassing, from the custom & handmade invitations seen at my website, to full exploration in event styling and design, to flower arranging, to playing sidekick and second shooter to my husband's wedding photography. I am working on becoming a wedding "One stop shop". :) I am a graduate in fine art painting, but a self taught graphic designer. As I still needed to get my hands dirty, I started taking letterpress classes, thus becoming my new love. When I am not busy working (usually still in my pajamas) and telling myself to remember to buy a new chair (this one hurts), I am singing to my 3 cats and enjoying a cold pint with my husband at our favorite local Irish pub. Maybe it's in the reverse order. :)
About Courtney @ Flush Designs

Yeah!! Finally, my table top is on Once Wed. Emily was waiting to showcase it on her new and improved blog so I have been dying with anticipation for the last 4 months waiting for the post. I began to almost think she wasn’t going to post it.  But not the case! you can view the post here.

Here is a description and item purchase list!

This table top once again utilizes the basics given at a venue. The round table, the white table cloth and basic white dishes. I wanted to have a fun table top that incorporates a worldly traveler’s home office or study - lots of books, fun vintage cameras, maps or globes, and the perfect low-ball glass for that night cap. I wanted a look that was masculine but with feminine touches - white fluffy flowers but with leather napkin rings. The color palette was consistent of a soft and muted look, so there was nothing overpowering each other. I also had to add owls and pom poms just to give it a little quirkiness. I covered the white table cloth with mosquito netting to give some texture and some loose flowing drape to it and soften it with texture. I’m picturing the invitation to this fun and studious wedding would be shaped and written like an old manuscript, very simple with a typewriter font with old vintage maps for envelope liners. So fun.

Where to find everything:

  • The books I gathered at the Goodwill, based on color palette not title. I used one of the books and curled its pages inward to make the “vase” for the flowers. For them to stay fresh each stem must have its own little flower tube of water.
  • The vintage looking globe is from World Market.
  • The Owl Salt and Pepper shaker are from Anthropologie.
  • The Owl Glasses are from my own collection. Along with the old vintage Polaroid.
  • The Kraft paper numbers can be purchased at Paper Source or the Craft Pedlars online.\
  • The Napkin Rings I made myself using strips of leather and fun little scrap booking metal tag holders. All from Michael’s Arts & Crafts.
  • Candles and amber votives are also from Michael’s.
  • The white and blue dessert plates are from Ikea.
  • All rentals are from Arcadia Party rentals here in California

Oooh, if only I were a Librarian or a Writer. This would definitely be my tabletop. Especially the vase.
