Do you love expensive blooms like garden roses or peonies? And you want to create a centerpiece that's not your typical arrangement but have a limited budget?

No matter what your budget, you can use expensive blooms. Don't let the price of expensive blooms persuade you not to use them. You don't have to pack the blooms in; instead you can make a statement with simplicity.

You can make a statement with a smaller number of flowers as long as you arrange them with the right accessories and accent pieces. I took one bunch of garden roses, 2 succulents, a few strands of honeysuckle and some geranium foliage and made this simple arrangement out of my leftover flowers from a wedding a week ago. I had a wonderful birch branch that looked great with these flowers, and I started out with a very modern and simple container that I found at Floral Supply Syndicate .

By cutting a large succulent and then putting it next to the vase, I'm extending the arrangement and giving your eye somewhere else to look. Building an arrangement with airy greens so that the focal flowers are supported is a great addition to the design. :-)

However, making arrangements probably isn't for a bride who will have 200+ guests. This is a manageable project for someone having a simple wedding that's maybe 70 or 80 guests max.

Hope these tips will help you with your wedding floral design and provide you with some inspiration!

I’m using the same ceramic vases in Sage for my wedding. They were a very affordable price point and I liked the variety of sizes!

As always, Nancy, your advice is priceless. I just love this centerpiece — simple, yet elegant!
