Oh! I really love these. It was so fun to get fancy with the shimmery paper, shimmery pink and chocolate inks, a swirly font, and a really lovely lace image. The bride simply told me her colors and said she wanted the invitation to be formal and sent in a box. She sent me a few inspiration images and I was off. Sometimes brides know exactly what they want and tell me exactly what they would like to see. Others give me a few words to go by, but either way it always leads to a design that makes the bride happy -which makes me happy.

About Me: I am the designer & printer behind Parrott Design Studio, specializing in custom letterpress and screen printed wedding and event invitations, stationery, and paper goods. With a background in non-profit marketing & art history, I began the studio in 2006 in my small apartment in Providence, RI. Since then I have moved to a studio built my fiancé, acquired a Golding Jobber letterpress, & have been happily printing ever since. I grew up in Portland, Maine, and I have always had an affinity for the ocean, mountains, birds, gardening, & the simple life. When I am not printing, I can be found somewhere outside with my fiancé & playful pup.
I love the soft pink color — and the chocolate brown is the perfect complement to it…and a bit unexpected, too (since I guess most people would expect the other text in black?).
