Take Your Seat

July 7th, 2009 @ 4:31 pm by Sarah @ Parrott Design Studio

There are many things to think, even worry about while planning a wedding. As we begin to tell family and friends we plan to be married and have our reception on a farm, questions begin to arise. A recent question, posed by Rich's father is, “Where are we going to sit!?” I suggested bales of hay, somewhat in jest, but knowing full well just how pretty a canvas-covered bale of hay can be when accompanied by wildflowers. Perhaps we will put a few chairs out. Just in case. :-)

Lights! Lemons! Lanterns! Love! Though I really like this photo for the hay bales. These sunflowers are absolutely gorgeous. Sunflowers are not on the list of fleurs, however I am not sure I will be able to resist them as they will be season.

I also love these place cards created by Scissor Variations via Oh So Beautiful Paper. It is the bird silhouette and wood veneer that got me. Being huge bird lovers and watchers, there will certainly be some bird motif happening in our wedding. Wood veneer is so lovely and fun to use.

Oh my those hay stacks are too cute. What a nice way to incorporate that into the overall theme

I love the hay stacks. =) So pretty.

Our wedding is either going to be in a public park or a local campground, so no hay bales for us. But we’re not shelling out $$$ on chairs and tables, either.

We’ll be providing lawn chairs for elderly or disabled guests, and picnic blankets for the others. If they’re too picky to sit on the picnic blankets, they can either bring their own chairs, or stand.

Great idea about your guests seating on hays. But would they be comfortable enough? Just a question. I don’t know much about farms and hays though.
