I shot quite a bit of film and Jennifer and Mark's fantastic wedding! Naomi and I took a load off upon our arrival, and decided to walk to nearby downtown Puerto Moreles for fish tacos and guacamole.

My feet.

Walking back from Puerto Moreles.

The wedding!

After a long and somewhat treacherous journey to Tulum, through a mile long den of mosquitoes, Jennifer and Mark proved them selves heroes by still looking fabulous, 400 mosquito welts later, for their day after session. It's the first session I've ever shot almost entirely in film! I am so in love with my Contax. I shoot much less, giving thought and pause to every composition so as not to waste precious (and somewhat expensive) film. With my 5D (which I also love, don't get me wrong!), I am like a semi automatic weapon, shooting scores of images for each moment. But with my Contax, moments last longer, and are better cared for and considered. And every shot I get back in return is just lovely. It makes me feel like I'm a team with my camera. We are working together, and she won't tell me what we've created until I get the scans back a couple weeks later. A little nerve wrecking, but worth every bead of sweat, and mosquito bite.
