Jessica and Moshe had a gorgeous wedding at BAM! It really was my kind of wedding – the music was amazing, the venue was spectacular, the reception was minimal in order to give way to as much dancing as possible. I don't know how well I've ever really conveyed this notion on my blog, however, my favorite part of every wedding I've ever shot is the dance floor. I cry at every single wedding I've ever shot – really it's no big feat – I cry on the subway when I see good deeds and people that love each other (it's a little out of hand – people are always asking me if I'm OK. I cry from joy! They don't understand…). But I could go through a whole wedding day and never cry until we all get to the dance floor. There is something so beautiful about humans on a dance floor, humans that love each other, families, friends and lovers. Rarely do people have the chance to be so free with each other – it reaches across cultures, families, groups of friends. You get people dancing on a dance floor, and that's when all the love in the room really starts to flourish. No one is in a bad or cranky mood – how can you have any cross feelings when swinging your hips to and fro? When Michael Jackson is telling you to Blame it on the Boogie? I mean, can you really even say the word boogie when you are not at peace with the world in that very moment??
I digress.
Jessica and Moshe had a beautiful, emotional wedding, in which I was in tears all day. I am so blessed to be present for such exchanges as the wedding between these two people, and their beautiful families and friends.
