Hello there!
I have a great posting for you today. It’s a wedding we attended a few weeks back in East Hampton — we love it there!

Dad, are we there yet?
Our friends Casey (a talented chef who can turn the most random ingredients into pure deliciousness) and Ryan (a sweet dude and an amazing artist) had an intimate ceremony right on Georgica Beach, and then a casual yet totally fun reception at The Laundry. There was also a BBQ potluck with a bonfire at the beach the night before the wedding — super fun!
We all stayed at this sweet cottage owned by our friends, the Schaffners, who were so gracious to open their door to about 9 adults plus baby and people coming in and out of their house. It was fantastic to witness and take part in some of the wedding preparations — it was like Rachel Getting Married but without the drama or the loud band playing. Instead we had Amy rehearsing on her cello out in the garden — what a great scene, and a wonderful weekend!
And don’t let me forget to mention our friend Erik Lang (an incredible photographer), who shot and filmed the wedding.

Stationery: The beautiful images came from one of my favorite books Cabinet of Natural Curiosities by Taschen.

Most of the flowers came from Ryan’s mother’s garden, and some we got some from the the cottage.

Purple and pink tones for the ceremony

These little glass vases came from Ikea, and Casey’s sister-in-law Julie used a silver metallic paint to treat them.

White and light blue tones for the reception

The groom wore a Paul Smith suit and Casey’s beautiful dress was made by their friend Anna, who was one of the contestants on the first season of The Fashion Show!
It was great seeing all these talents come together for this special event.

The bridesmaids and maid-of-honor wore grey tone dresses from Calypso.

I’ve been experimenting with different shapes — a seashell pillow was perfect for the occasion.

The table setting was simple and pretty — just how Casey wanted it.

Our Mikus dancing the night away.
Much love to you Casey and Ryan! Wishing you many, many happy memories. xoxo

What a beautiful house! And that shell pillow is the cutest! Do you do many that are unique shapes like this?
