I loved working with Leah, one of my first local Omaha brides. Her super low-key wedding is August 16th and she's wearing a gray and teal dress. She contacted me several weeks ago to make her a short-notice bouquet on a small budget. I'm so happy that I accepted the challenge because the results are so stunning to me!

We decided to use the button flowers that she originally fell in love with and surround them with simple felt posies in shades of gray, white, and teal.

Because teal and turquoise are the most popular colors my clients request, they are usually in shortest supply. Because they are so in demand and rarer, the prices to buy more teal buttons are also pretty high. To avoid passing those costs on to my customers, sometimes I carefully paint buttons to match the shades my clients want.

Tomorrow I'll post a video about simple painting techniques that will save you money when you are looking for rare, brightly-colored buttons. So make sure to come back tomorrow!
