On my blog, I love doing “behind the scenes” posts. It shows sneak peeks about what the IG team is working on.
You may remember the post I did about the Family Tree Envelope Liners and the Etched Mirror, well, these photos are from our staff at that same wedding. Since everything happened surrounding a master time-line, here’s a step-by-step of how the day progressed:
10:00 AM: Leave Brooklyn to pickup van @ UHAUL

John driving us to the rental depot
11:20 AM: Load van with lots of boxes!
12:00 PM: Leave IG Headquarters and Head-up to The Central Park Boathouse.

Top to bottom: Mrs. Cupcake and I took the van and the boy’s take the train to Central Park.
Me looking very excited that the weather is gorgeous and ready to get moving.
2:00 PM: The van is unloaded and the IG Team Arrives.

From L to R: Me, John, Jillian, Dave, Mrs. Cupcake [Brooke], Mr. Cupcake [Nick] and Stephanie
2:00 - 2:45PM: Everyone is given their projects for the day and the installation begins.

From L to R: Nick is in charge of setting up the postcard racks. These will hold the escort cards.
The girls help me alphabetize the escort cards.

John and Dave start decorating the entrance with lots of draped crystals and quilted mason jars.
3:00 PM: The rentals and florist arrive on-site

All hands were on deck to get the 22 tables covered with the violet tablecloths and the chairs unloaded from the truck.

The Ovando team placed their arrangements on 22″ mirrors we provided as the center for each tablescape. The floral arrangements consisted of these amazingly huge dahlias, the pink ones are called Cafe Au Lait. Their massive size was great for the large room.
4:00 PM - 5:30 PM: The guys are making good progress on the entry-way.

From L to R: John looking good in his cute Inspired Goodness apron. Nick organizing the crystal strands. Dave working on getting the look just right. The center fixture is up and the hanging mason jars start to be incorporated.
Meanwhile, the girls are….

From L to R: Centerpiece elements are placed on top of each mirror and postcard style table numbers are displayed in acrylic holders. The guest book table is setup and Stephanie places the escort cards into the right slot in each rack - the front of each card shows what table the guests are seated

From L to R: The cigar roller is coming during the cocktail hour and we’ve setup our display of custom matchbooks and cigar labels. (More on these in a later post!!) Everyone helps distribute colored votives throughout the cocktail area. Brooke is in charge of decorating the bride and groom’s chairs.
5:45 PM: The candles are lit and everything begins to take shape.

From L to R: Brooke and John lighting all the table candles. The glow from the reflecting mirror really lights up the room. John and Dave are getting the entryway finalized. The final table setup ready for guests!
6:00 PM: We’re complete with the installation a little early, we head over to the bar for a quick toast

From L to R: The Cupcakes. The view of the lake from inside the cafe was so beautiful!!
6:55 PM: Guests arrive and the bride and groom get to see the finished space!

The very glamorous (and just married) Shira and Loren with moi!
