We are so pleased to share our very first world map! A lovely couple asked us to create a map of the whole world, indicating both places they have been, and also places they have yet to travel.

We were happy to create many new icons to mark the well-known monuments such as the pyramids in Egypt, the mountains of Machu Pichu, Peru, and of course the columns in Greece!
Whether you prefer our traditional custom maps, an emotional map, or a world map, there is something for everyone and nothing we won’t try!
It’s official - we found a venue for our renewal celebration - read more about the plans, the inspiration, more inspiration and the save the date.
It was difficult to find a venue to perfectly suit our guest list of only 110 or so. We wanted rustic but not too casual, blank palette but not uninspired and of course flexibility (’lots of custom decor planned). Driving past the entry gates of this 1800’s “Cottage” (as it is humbly named) I felt as if I took a gracious step back in time. Following the deep curves of the driveway I caught a glimpse of the towering structure and it’s massive screened in wrap around porch.

I recently had the great opportunity to collaborate with Jen of Swallowfield on wedding invitations for her cousin. I am a huge fan of Jen’s work and own a few of her prints {this is one of my favorites}, so I was quite honored to work with her. The wedding is taking place this Fall in Newburyport, Massachusetts, a little town on the Merrimack River near the Atlantic. Mary, the bride, wanted a design inspired by Fall, community, and the sea. Jen’s drawing is full of amazing details including little houses, flowers, and a sailboat. I want to live in one of those houses!
Once Jen completed the drawing she turned it over to me. I used the entire drawing on the invitation and set the type. I extracted a few details from the drawing for the other pieces in the suite. I used a single flower on the RSVP and two little houses on a flower for the return address, which was on the backside of the RSVP to make it a postcard & the back flap of the envelope. I really love that Mary went for the orange & gray palette, instead of blue as one may assume for seaside wedding. I hope she uses love stamps!
Holy Cross sweethearts, Whitney and Brian, have been planning their wedding thousands of miles apart since graduating two years ago. Whitney was in London obtaining a master’s degree, and Brian was in Japan serving in the US Navy. So their wedding day was a rare occasion to be together with all of their friends and family back in Whitney’s hometown. In December, Brian and Whitney will be relocating- together- to Hawaii!
Meet Whitney, the face of calm under pressure.

We’ve love the idea of eclectic collections of objects/favors that double as seating cards, like these vintage aluminum parakeet pins…

Oh the sweetness that was Jess and Jay’s candy buffet! Jess spent months finding the perfect apothecary jars and glass vessels to hold all of the candy. She found this article very helpful in creating her candy buffet and sourcing bulk candy. She purchased all of the candy during the winter and early spring to avoid shipping candy in the warmer weather. The chocolate lighthouses and chocolate covered pretzels were homemade by my sister, mom and aunt. Jess did the entire set-up herself the day before their wedding {like I have said before, the girl has a knack for working with all things sweet}.
I design the candy labels to coordinate with their invitations and coasters. We attached the labels with some cute pink and green grosgrain ribbon. I also designed a little sign that invited people to enjoy the candy buffet. I created a PDF template of each that is free for you to download! Just click the links below.
- Candy Labels with Text
- Blank Candy Labels
- Candy Buffet Sign {this is 5 x 7 with crop marks to help you cut}
As you might imagine, the candy buffet was a huge hit! By the end of the night everyone was carrying around their own pink or green takeout container filled to the brim with sweet treats.
Recently, Amber and Jordan came in to see their photos for the first time. As we were going through the images, they stopped at almost every one to tell me something about it. “That’s our accountant.” “This couple got married right after us.” “Oh, this is my maid of honour’s sister… can you see the resemblance?”
Among other things, we talked about air ducts, lung capacity, education, and finally, we got hungry and talked about thank you cards over subs.
See, that’s what I love. We’re buddies now. It’s not just a “client, provider relationship”. It’s so much more. Which is my favourite thing about what we do.
When Amber first found us, she knew that she would have to stretch her budget to have us at her wedding. And she knew that it would take some effort to get Jordan to consider it. The line she told me today was absolutely priceless: “Amina, you guys are worth every ounce of begging”.

Who loves zinnias and dahlias? I do, I do!
My mom stopped by last week and brought 3 vases full of fresh cut zinnias and dahlias, and I was in love. There is something so alluring about a heavily petaled bloom full of rich, vibrant colors that just sing. A quick search on etsy and beyond proves that I am not alone in my obsession with these blooms!
We recently worked on a wedding taking place at the Adamson House in Malibu, CA. We always love this venue and this wedding was especially gorgeous. Elegantly low-key, this fete had a “backyard wedding” feel that was successfully pulled together by the ever-so-talented Beth Helmstetter.

This destination engagement shoot was special. This is my cousin, Sarah, and her fiance, Steve. She’ll be the first to go in our family, so it’s been fun realizing that I get to be such an integral part at this point in her life. Ingrid and I spent almost a whole week out there with them, so we got to know Steve pretty well. Before that, I had only seen him three times briefly, so hanging out with him at his home was very different. They are both busy doctors, but Steve manages to watch and re-watch every episode of So You Think You Can Dance. He’s Tivo’ed every episode, so one night he got us caught up on the whole season! We were mesmerized, because we actually don’t own a TV.
We’ll be shooting their wedding next year, so you’ll be seeing a ton of pics of my family up here, which is going to be a weird experience for me.
