Sustainable Catering

September 18th, 2009 @ 6:22 pm by Wiley Valentine

I am so excited to introduce to you Primal Alchemy, a catering group in Los Angeles that prides itself on sustainable catering. I met them at the Wedding Salon the other night and was so blown away I could not wait to tell you about them! Chef Paul makes it a point to use fresh, local and organic ingredients and insists on customizing each menu for each client. LOVE this! Here are a few pictures that Chef Paul shared with us…

Another thing I love about Primal Alchemy is their unique presentations and clever ideas. The best part is that they get super creative and everything actually DOES taste as good as it looks. For example take a look at a few shots I took of their food they served at the Wedding Salon the other night…

I could not get over the Chocolate Ganache lollipop bar they created. The lollipops were topped with candied roses and violets! Seriously! And they were to die for! The tri-color heirloom tomato soup had the subtlest hint of basil and was amazing. The watermelon with verbina mousse and micro basil had a little surprise when you put it in your mouth - neutral pop rocks!! For an unexpected fizziness. LOVE LOVE LOVE! The cool thing is not only do they do weddings and events but Chef Paul also hosts cooking classes including: Fantastic Fois Gras and Trader Joes Treasures…yes please! Sign me up!
