Princess Lasertron, OmahaVendor: Flowers made of felt, vintage buttons and other ephemeraWebsite: Princess LasertronAbout Me: I started Princess Lasertron in 2005 creating custom bouquets out of
felt, vintage buttons, and other ephemera. I give each bride an
heirloom-quality piece that will bring a personal dimension to their
wedding and everyday lives. What I love most is meeting and
collaborating with unique women whose weddings are a true
representation of them and their partners. As for me...I live
nocturnally, I'm an INTP, I play Dungeons and Dragons every other
Saturday, and I'm a perpetual student.
Emilie Sommer, Portland, MaineVendor: PhotographerWebsite: Emilie Inc.About Me: Emilie earned a degree in photojournalism from Syracuse University and worked at USA Today and The Washington Post in Washington, DC, before opening her wedding photography studio, emilie inc, in Portland, Maine. She loves all the intricate details involved in planning, the warm fuzzy feeling about two people in love and freezing those moments in time in a photograph. It’s a contagious dancing-through-daisies kind of good feeling. She also started the Roots Workshop, the directory News Wedding Photographers and the non-profit Pink Initiative
Katie (who, yes, definitely resembles Elisabeth Shue) and Chris are yet another internet dating success story. They live in Boston but married at Chris’ parents’ summer community on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. When I met Chris’ mom a few weeks before the wedding to tour Bald Peak, she explained at the first meeting of the parents that both sets were stunned that neither Katie nor Chris had been scooped up because they are both so wonderful, and so wonderful together. Exactly. It was just that matter of that thing called time for them to find one another. And everyone would agree with these happy parents, their children certainly found the right match in each other.
Their wedding day was an ideal September Saturday, with bright blue skies and a pretty breeze keeping things cool but not too cold.

I came across this fabulous collaboration the other day and I am so in love! Jonathan Adler designed a life size Barbie Dream House and the results are over the top pretty pink girly magic! From a closet filled with hot pink Christian Louboutin shoes, to a mirror made from vintage barbies, to a chandelier made from barbie’s hair! Wow!

I stumbled upon this website while reading one of my favorite blogs, Unruly Things. Samantha Robinson is a porcelain artist whose website is one of the most innovative I have seen in some time. I just adore the pencil-sketchy-casual feel with pops of unexpected color.
Dive into her website to find lovely porcelain vessels adorned with gorgeous pattern work in all shades of color. I am especially enamored with these Illuminators.
Sarah Parrott, Rhode IslandVendor: Invitation DesignerWebsite: Parrott Design StudioAbout Me: I am the designer & printer behind Parrott Design Studio, specializing in custom letterpress and screen printed wedding and event invitations, stationery, and paper goods. With a background in non-profit marketing & art history, I began the studio in 2006 in my small apartment in Providence, RI. Since then I have moved to a studio built my fiancé, acquired a Golding Jobber letterpress, & have been happily printing ever since. I grew up in Portland, Maine, and I have always had an affinity for the ocean, mountains, birds, gardening, & the simple life. When I am not printing, I can be found somewhere outside with my fiancé & playful pup.
Happy Fall! I love this time of year. These invitations were a new take on some previous invitations. I find I often do not take photographs of designs I have already done, because I feel like I am repeating content, however, with different color combinations & additional pieces, the suites end up looking quite different.
This couple had a small wedding at a private home on Lake Tahoe this past summer. With gerber daisies as the main flower at the wedding, they became the main feature for the wedding invitation in a vibrant yellow ink contrasted with chocolate brown and olive green.
Flush Designs, PasadenaVendor: Invitations, Event & Floral Design, PhotographyWebsite: Flush DesignsAbout Me: Flush Designs is run and owned by me, Courtney C. Keefe de Jauregui. It is all encompassing, from the custom & handmade invitations seen at my website, to full exploration in event styling and design, to flower arranging, to playing sidekick and second shooter to my husband's wedding photography. I am working on becoming a wedding "One stop shop". :) I am a graduate in fine art painting, but a self taught graphic designer. As I still needed to get my hands dirty, I started taking letterpress classes, thus becoming my new love. When I am not busy working (usually still in my pajamas) and telling myself to remember to buy a new chair (this one hurts), I am singing to my 3 cats and enjoying a cold pint with my husband at our favorite local Irish pub. Maybe it's in the reverse order. :)
I can’t wait to share this wedding with you. Remember these invites? Well, I helped style the wedding and did the reception flowers and tablescapes. Here is a little behind the scenes of me working. After all the set up the day before and morning of, we {erinheartscourt} also photographed it. The photos will be up soon. Here is a sneak peek on our blog.

A morning wedding is always simple and refreshing and typically calls for a very natural bride. The makeup and hair team for this shoot shares with us a look that is appropriate for many brides planning to have a wedding in the beginning of the day.
Cynthia Converse, Syracuse, NYVendor: InvitationsWebsite: Bella FiguraAbout Me: Bella Figura is a wind-powered, eco-friendly letterpress shop committed to the fine artisanship of letterpress printing and the environment. Along with our sister company, Smock, we print our wedding invitations and stationery on only the finest luxury cotton and bamboo papers to ensure the most beautiful of prints in sight and to the touch, while working tirelessly to do our little piece for the good of the earth. We are hopelessly in love with our abundant collection of cast iron presses, farmer's markets, fall in Upstate NY, creating beautiful heirlooms for our brides, businesses that do good for the world, calligraphy, spending time in nature, contributing to the greater letterpress community, our rambling studios in a converted warehouse turned artist's haven, and our two year old in residence. Turning invitations into art on paper while dedicating ourselves to the environment is not what we do, it's who we are.
Here at Bella Figura, we love the opportunity to work with couples from all walks of life in designing and printing the letterpress wedding invitations of their dreams. Getting to know our clients is such a joy for us – we love when they share photos of their weddings and then come back to us later for letterpress baby announcements! So we thought we’d share a bit of insight into what makes the team at Bella Figura tick. First up, a little look behind the scenes with Bella Figura Client Coordinator, Tiffany…
Describe your typical day during the week…
6:00 – Alarm goes off. Typically I will hit snooze until 7:00 because I went to sleep WAY too late due to either (a) having been up all night reading whatever latest book has captured my imagination or (b) my dog snoring… she snores REALLY loud!
7:30 – By 7:30 I am showered and out the door way earlier than I need to be… but honestly, mornings are boring to me so I usually just head into the office early rather than sit around killing time.

To catch up on my renewal planning adventure check in here, here, here, here and here! The hubby and I just booked our flight for a trip to Las Vegas and Zion next month. Our first stop will be in Vegas for the much anticipated Engage!09: The Encore. We then head to Springdale, UT for 4 days in Zion National Park. I cannot wait to choose our ceremony location and stop in at the Bit and Spur to plan our post-ceremony celebration meal!
Lately I have been thinking in more detail about favors and flowers for our renewal celebration and my mind immediately seems to go to succulents…
I adore succulents. Since last year, these lovelies have been popping up here, there and everywhere in weddings. It is no surprise since these tiny little plants pack a lot of color and texture punch. The renewal is months away but I am already thinking about favors for our guests. Succulents could be perfect. I just love the tin container below that doubles as a seating card. Last weekend I picked up a bunch of these Depression sherbet glasses. Can you imagine a succulent bloom planted in each one - such a sweet little favor!
Kristin Brancaleone, Rancho Santa Margarita, CAVendor: Floral DesignerWebsite: The Treasured PetalAbout Me: The Treasured Petal is a reflection of my love for scrumptious flowers, yummy textures, colors, ribbons, and all the other girly splurges that being a florist allows me to enjoy on a daily basis. Although I don't discriminate when it comes to flowers, my two favorites would have to be cattleya orchids and gloriosa lilies, which I carried in a ginormous bouquet on my wedding day. When I'm not crafting wedding florals and consulting with brides, I am usually at the dog park with my dogs Pesto and Basil, cooking healthy vegan dinners, watching Seinfeld with my husband Joe, at Bible study, or scouring craigslist for antique furniture to fill up my new house. I am also kind of a home-body and really love sipping tea in my pajamas while working my way down my google reader blog list!
This weekend’s wedding was a dream. It took place at Rancho Del Cielo, perched atop a hill in Malibu overlooking the ocean. When I handed the bride her bouquet, I got to hear the words I love so dearly, “I’m gonna cry!!!”
If you stepped into my cooler last week, you would find:
