Chelsea Petaja, Nashville Vendor: Hair Accessories Website: Oh My Deer! About Me: "Oh, My Deer!" was born out of a love for play-on-words and getting my hands dirty. I live in Music City USA in a little loft with brick walls, concrete floors and my husband. I teach Visual Arts at a Montessori school that grows organic vegetables and composts nearly everything. It satisfies the hippie in me. I make flowers and feathers for your hair that I hope make you feel beautiful. Sometimes I make drawings and invitations for your eyes. And then that leaves everything in between that I pretend to know how to do.

Sunny, Buttery Goodness

November 16th, 2009 @ 3:13 pm by Chelsea Petaja @ Oh My Deer

Thank you, Fall, for the most beautiful weather Nashville has seen in quite some time. We’ve had days in the 60s and 70s for days and days. To me, it makes up for the blistering days of summer we have here in the South.

These headbands I made a few weeks back are just the sort of sunny, buttery goodness that reminds me of these recent Autumn days. Maybe they’re like the hair equivalent of a toasted piece of pumpkin bread.

Plus, I’m kind of in love with that polka-dotted tulle.

Love the polka-dot tulle! Wonder if I could manage to make some myself and put them on a scarf… thanks for the inspiration!
