I would love to take a little vacation to Italy right about now. Europe around the holidays sounds lovely. Next spring, Jamie and her fiance are getting married on a vineyard in Gaiole in Chianti, Italy at Castello di Meleto. It just sounds romantic, no?
For their invitation, they wanted the design to be classic and reflect the natural landscape of the vineyard. Jamie’s flowers will be white peonies & hydrangeas and olive tress will decorate the reception.
We only had one design restriction, by request of the groom, and that was… no flowers! Sure thing!
I decided to go with the olive branches and added a bit of romance with extravagant flourishes at the bottom of the invitation and RSVP. The invitation was gocco screenprinted on 100% cotton paper in Pearl white with chocolate brown and papaya inks.

The wedding invitation is common but the spot is the olive branch. The style and color of these words are artistic and pretty, full of Italian design.
For those who love to partake of fine food and wine, an Italian vineyard wedding is truly a dream come true. An Italian vineyard offers a safe haven far away from the busy hum of the outside world.
