Wendy + Sunup were married on October 3rd. While Justin was unavailable that day, I brought out the lovely and very talented Denise Bovee to second shoot with me. Wendy + Sunup, or should I say “Wenup” (what is this? scroll down and you'll see) were super sweet and beyond happy on this big day. You can see their happiness is very obvious and very apparent in their images!

The last wedding we posted I had to shoot without Justin, now here's one that Justin had to shoot without me. This is a VERY rare occasion, as we try our best to be available together because that is how we like it best, but given the unusual circumstances, Justin did an amazing job and he had Jason Roger as a sidekick to help him out.
Patricia + Art were married on October 3rd. When editing this set of images I really fell in love with the old fashioned spanish theme. From Patricia's veil to the mariachi hat place cards, there was definitely a classic spanish feel to the entire day.

Once again, I heart LOVE shooting family weddings! I also heart LOVE visiting and shooting Idaho in September! When you put family, weddings, and Idaho in September all together it equals a very happy and content Amelia!
Justin's sweet cousin Ashley contacted us a few months ago to attend and shoot her wedding. We anxiously accepted because 1. we love Ashley and 2. we really needed a good excuse to visit family in Idaho! I ended up having to go alone because Justin needed to be on set at Yo Gabba Gabba!, but I lucked out with great help with some of Justin's other cousins Jeramy and his sweet wife Shelley (you may recall these two from their wedding we shot last September, also in Idaho).

The lovely Claudine + David were referred to me by Angel Swanson from Events of Love and Splendor, so of course I was ecstatic when they wanted to book us! For one, any client of Angel's is already a sweet client in our eyes and for two, we love any chance we can get to work with Angel as she and her fab sidekick sister Ana “bring it” to every event that they coordinate!
We shot Claudine + David's engagement session literally three days before the wedding, so you can guess which post is coming up next… yup, their wedding! So hold on tight as we begin to show you the story of Claudine + David!

2009 has been our year for shooting weddings in Northern California, from San Francisco to Napa Valley, its been fun mixing it up and in the midst of it all Justin and I have enjoyed traveling.
Stephanie + Sam were married on September 4th in San Francisco. They held their wedding ceremony at the Merchants Exchange Building and then held a beautiful reception in the Julia Morgan Ballroom inside of that same building. The first time we actually met Stephanie + Sam was the day before their wedding, when we toured their amazing venue together to get a feel for what the next day would be like. We were super excited after getting acquainted with Stephanie + Sam and could not wait for their wedding day to unfold!

This was THE wedding to be at on September 12th of 2009! Dani + Sean were married in Napa Valley at The Carneros Ranch Inn. Everything, I mean EVERYTHING about this wedding was ultra-fabulous and the details were mind blowing! This day definitely made our top-ten list for weddings and Dani + Sean were a stellar couple to work with! Their theme was “an enchanted forest”, and there was this sweet organic and dreamy feel throughout every aspect. Dani + Sean hired the amazing crew of Sillapere to be behind the scenes and make all of the magic come to life. Sillapere did a phenomenal job at it too! Ladies and gents we give you Dani + Sean's wedding!

Jeff + Jane were married on August 29th and had a sweet reception at the Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine. We really like the open feel of this venue, very down-to-earth. You may recall Jeff + Jane's faces from their engagement session we posted back in April. Two things that I thought were sweet touches to the overall look to Jeff + Jane on their wedding day were: 1. Jane's simple, yet classic hair-do with make-up (compliments of Nicole DeAnne) & 2. Jeff's classic black suit with bow-tie.

Melissa + Bryan are works of art, literally! I was super drawn to them when I first met them months back at our consultation meeting. I loved their style, look, and attitude. When we were planning their engagement session, I was super excited because I had been waiting for the perfect couple that would fit a specific location I had been eyeing for a while now. We made our way to one of the many abandoned farm houses in Chino. Melissa + Bryan definitely were the best for this location look and feel. I had a crazy hard time narrowing down the images for this post, so I'm posting more than usual for an engagement session, but I truly am in love with the session as an overall work of art.

Heather + John were our first couple that booked for 2010, so I definitely feel like they are good luck in a way! We talked specifics over the phone and then met them for the first time at their engagement session on the campus of Chapman University. I really loved working with pillars, stairs, and… the library!
