Nicole + Rich make a handsome couple and plan to tie the knot in Spring 2009. We shot their engagement session at The Mission in San Juan Capistrano. This was my first time shooting at this location and loved the set up!
I was drawn to Nancy + Edward from day one! They both are such sweet and sincere people, and I was ecstatic when they decided to hire us for their wedding day and engagement session! We decided to go to my trusty shooting grounds in Downtown Fullerton (I say trusty because I can always find something new and interesting to work with there). I especially loved the chemistry between Nancy + Edward…this really helps make my job easier.

Shane + Hillary were married on April 18th at the LDS temple in Redlands. You may recall their lovely faces from the engagement session posted a few months ago. You may also recall me saying that Shane is my cousin and that I always love shooting family weddings. Despite the slight case of anxiety (eek) to perform as best as I can, I definitely look forward to each time I get to capture such a wonderful day for people that I call family.
Since Justin was away at Coachella and unable to shoot with me on this day I asked my other cousins Jason and Emily, the fab husband and wife duo team that make up Roger Ruth Photography, to help me out and they rocked it!
I shot this engagement session of the lovely Kaitlyn + Jordan a few weeks ago down in Corona Del Mar. Kaitlyn is yet another cousin of mine, and I was delighted that she and her handsome fiance wanted to hire us to photograph her engagement session and wedding!
I was particularly happy with not only Kaitlyn + Jordan as subjects to capture, but with the awesome natural light that was available that day - it was super warm…loved it! Here are some of my favs from the day:
Darlene + Jerrold were great to photograph! They had a good amount of chemistry, which always helps while we’re shooting. We met up with them at the Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA. We had shot at this location before, so we were determined to find a new approach. This is basically our mindset every time we walk into a new photo sitting, “How can we make this session unique to this couple?”. I think we found what we were looking for and found an entirely different angle.
I’m so stoked on this next wedding I can hardly stand it!!! You may recognize this rockin’ couple from the engagement session we shot just a few weeks before their wedding.
Patrick + Irma were married on March 28th at the St. Andrew Church in Pasadena and had a ultra fabulous reception that followed at The Castle Green. This was one of those days that just kept getting better and better, not just in feeling, but visually too with style and class. It was a photographer’s dream! Irma + Patrick’s wedding will definitely go down in the books as one of our favorite weddings!

Loved this engagement session, loved the colors, loved the location, loved Jeff + Jane…need I say more?! Enjoy! 
Mary + Peter were married on March 21st at Calamigos Equestrian (great venue by the way!). I loved how fast the day went by, not only did I have a sweet time with Mary + Peter, but I was lucky enough to have Denise Bovee and Emily Ruth by my side. A few days prior Justin had sprained his ankle, so I was anxious to find an awesome assistant and great second shooter so he wouldn’t have to work. I was thankful these girls stepped up to the plate and did quite an amazing job!
We started the day off at a nearby hotel for a short and sweet tea ceremony. Then we headed to the downtown area of Burbank to snag a few quick portraits, before we headed over to the venue for their wedding ceremony.

We first met Amanda + Ray at a bridal show we did a few months ago at The Mission Inn. This was our first bridal show so we had no idea what to expect. Amanda + Ray, apparently, were impressed with our work. They called a few days later to book us for their upcoming wedding in November. When Amanda asked me if I remembered who she and her fiance were I immediately responded, “Of course!!” Over our short, sweet conversation as they passed through our booth I couldn’t forget how I thought that this couple was gorgeous and had so much personality. I had hoped that they would call us and they did! I shot their engagement session in downtown Pasadena and I thought that it suited them perfectly! I also had an awesome assistant by my side, Emily of RogerRuth Photography, thanks Em!

Jason + Kelly were married on March 7th in Newport Beach at the LDS Temple.This wedding was super fun, mainly because Jason + Kelly are some of the coolest peeps ever and just happen to be super good friends of ours (you can re-read the story of them by visiting their engagement session post). It was sort of weird because we worked all day, but it didn’t feel like work because we were hanging out with some of our favorite friends! So glad Jason + Kelly not only invited us to be guests of the wedding day, but to capture it as well. It was a great day to say the least!
