Turning invitations into art on paper while dedicating ourselves to the environment is not what we do, it's who we are.
We’ve been loving the recent trend of festive yellow and gray weddings and the opportunity to print these gorgeous letterpress wedding invitations in our Dewdrop design only served to solidify our love for this hot color palette. This customization uses a fun square shape, bright champagne and pewter inks, and even features a cute square reply card that directs guests toward the couple’s website for online replies. We love how personal and fun this invitation suite is and how it reinvents one of our favorite designs from our 2009 collection. Stay tuned for more great Dewdrop letterpress wedding invitation customizations this week!

Here at Bella Figura, we love the opportunity to work with couples from all walks of life in designing and printing the letterpress wedding invitations of their dreams. Getting to know our clients is such a joy for us – we love when they share photos of their weddings and then come back to us later for letterpress baby announcements! So we thought we’d share a bit of insight into what makes the team at Bella Figura tick. First up, a little look behind the scenes with Bella Figura Client Coordinator, Tiffany…
Describe your typical day during the week…
6:00 – Alarm goes off. Typically I will hit snooze until 7:00 because I went to sleep WAY too late due to either (a) having been up all night reading whatever latest book has captured my imagination or (b) my dog snoring… she snores REALLY loud!
7:30 – By 7:30 I am showered and out the door way earlier than I need to be… but honestly, mornings are boring to me so I usually just head into the office early rather than sit around killing time.

We recently printed some fabulous letterpress invitations for our friends at StudioWed in Atlanta. A custom design by Debra Saba of Luxe Expressions (who also shared these amazing photos by Project Duo with us), these invitations were for a recent StudioWed event inviting couples to come in and meet the wedding professionals who call StudioWed home. I love the bright shades of purple and the fun, festive feel of their event. And cookies and cream topped cupcakes? Delicious!

I just got back this morning from a trip to NYC where Smock hosted a fabulous event on Monday with our friends from Delphine, russell+hazel, Linnea’s Lights and Green Paper Company. We had a wonderful time meeting up with some of favorite shop owners, bloggers and editors in an incredible loft on Broadway, Hatch Creative Studio’s Nest Loft, and in true Monday Morning Mimosas fashion, enjoyed good cheer and a bit of bubbly with friends old and new. As I was flipping through the many many photos I took, I knew I had to share some of the event highlights. All of the exquisite details were dreamed up by the talented Erika of Delphine (no, she’s not an event planner, but she certainly has a fabulous eye) and could easily translate to wedding planning, a fabulous rehearsal dinner or even a festive bridal shower.

When we first started printing custom letterpress coasters, we couldn’t stop - they are just so much fun! As it turns out, they are still among our favorite things to print. There is truly no better way to add a unique personalized touch to your wedding than with lovely letterpress coasters. We love when couples incorporate a special monogram or recipes for signature cocktails, but they’re equally as fun when printed with a special motif that a couple is incorporating throughout their event. If you’re looking for that perfect way to infuse your event with personal flair, letterpress coasters are always a homerun!

In the last few months, we’ve printed letterpress wedding invitations for several couples with a somewhat unusual request - letterpress printing RSVP information on the outer envelope flap in lieu of a return address. It’s always interesting (and fun!) to see trends in wedding invitations develop and this is one I have to admit that I love! Not only is it more eco-friendly, but it’s also a great idea for any couple looking to shave a few bucks off their invitation costs. Eco-friendly and wallet-friendly? Sign me up! It’s such an easy and simple way to make an impact on the amount of paper you’re using, but it also saves money on the cost of the reply card/postcard and postage. Not convinced? Check out these that we’ve recently printed, they are just as chic as a traditional reply card -

Hi everyone! I’m officially married and back to my daily love affair with all things letterpress/paper and weddings. I am so thrilled to be back in the studio and back to blogging. We had an absolutely incredible wedding weekend and a fabulous honeymoon in Bar Harbor, Maine. I’ve been glowing with happiness ever since. Then, last Friday I was stunned into teary-eyed silence when I saw the video trailer the amazing team of Clark Walker Studio put together for us. I just had to share it with Weddingbee readers! Working with the amazingly talented Alisha Clark was nothing short of a spectacular experience. She and her husband, Luke Walker, are the owners of Lillie Studios based in the Capital Region of Upstate New York. As I work in the wedding industry myself, being a bride and having the opportunity to work with wedding professionals I admire (and supremely talented ones at that!) was a truly incredible experience. With that said, I’ll just let the video do the talking…

When you’re surrounded by incredible letterpress creations every day, choosing your own letterpress wedding invitations becomes difficult -really, really difficult. There were moments during that time when I joked about wanting to send each of our guests a different invitation, just so I could see all of my different ideas in print. After much debate, with the help of our amazing client coordinator, Tiffany, and our equally amazing graphic designer, Beth Ann, I was able to settle on our Keswick design in Mediterranean and pale gray inks. The entire process was incredibly exciting, but nothing topped the day I finally got to hold them in my hands. They’re absolutely stunning and you can bet we’ll have a set framed to hang in our house after the wedding.

The opportunity for us to work with brides all the time is nothing short of joyful, but the opportunity to be a bride who works at Bella Figura? Absolutely incredible. As I’ve been planning my own wedding, it has been a sincere and immeasurable pleasure to interact with the wonderful brides we’ve printed letterpress invitations for, and I’ve found myself completely immersed in beautiful letterpress wedding invitations every day. Hearing their stories, seeing their wedding photos, sharing in a bit of their sheer bliss, has been a remarkable way to prepare for my own wedding, which is taking place this weekend! Knowing how helpful and wonderful it has been for me to take a glimpse into the planning and happiness of other brides, I thought it seemed only appropriate to take this week to share a bit of my own wedding and my own inspiration.
Milk glass vases were something I knew I wanted to incorporate from the beginning.

You probably already know that around here, printing gorgeous letterpress invitations makes us absolutely giddy. With that said, when Smock had the opportunity to print the letterpress invitations, escort cards and menus for the recent Modern Bride Trendsetters Awards Dinner, it was a sincere honor and so much fun! Printing beautiful things is what makes us excited about what we do everyday, but being able to print the invitations for such a fabulous event, honoring amazing wedding professionals we truly admire, was especially exciting.
