I’m still trying to play catch-up this week after Saturday’s wedding. I have a ton of amazing photos to share (most thanks to my fab SIL).
We’re up to our ears in packing boxes right now - moving out of our place Friday morning and getting of our furniture ready to be stored for another month until work on our new place is completed. The renovation is moving along well - the kitchen’s been delivered but it’s sitting in about 50 boxes in the living room. We have holes where the sinks, toilets and tub will sit!! Plus there are a lot of finishing touches still to find - cabinet hardware, lighting, wallpaper and paint. It’s so exciting to see the progress on the work week-to-week!
The wedding went wonderful - the room was a glow, Shira was absolutely stunning and Loren had the most incredible smile on his face throughout the entire day!
Delivered to client and on their way to guests, I’ve been dying to show off these custom envelope liners I designed for a recent wedding invitation.
The couple, Shira and Loren have very strong family ties - and Inspired Goodness has been working hard to find creative ways to showcase the love they both share for their family.
When working on their invitation suite, I knew a printed liner was going to be part of the overall look, but was at a loss for a pattern that didn’t overwhelm the blind emboss and letterpress pieces that the other pieces featured.
And then it hit me to do a modified family tree. It was the perfect solution on how to incorporate their family into the set! Starting with an illustration from iStockPhoto, I modified existing art to work with the design and fit into the liner shape.
We printed the illustration on an uncoated paper stock in silver ink, to match the calligraphy and addresses on the envelopes. My amazing assistant (and husband) helped me cut each of the liners and we setup an assembly line of cutting, taping, inserting and collating.
The entire project took about 6 hours, but they looked perfect and hearing the client’s feedback made it all worthwhile!
If you want to tackle this project, here’s a list of materials you’ll need:

A popular trend in weddings over the past few years has been the coordinated bridal party/first dance. From Thriller to Dirty Dancing and even this Grease rendition, it seems as if loads of brides and grooms are trying to become the newest million-hit star on You Tube.
And then there’s this couple who turned the procession into the kind of celebration rarely seen in churches. I love that everyone — from the grandparents in the front row to each and every member of the bridal party is enjoying themselves. Its not about trying to look cool or to impress your guests, but celebrating the wedding and joy of that day.
In an industry where we constantly see couples follow the latest trend, it’s refreshing to see someone putting their own stamp on things.
P.S. Be sure to watch the whole way through. Seeing the bride at the end made me completely tear up!
Hello Hive!
Back in the summer of 2006, I stumbled upon Weddingbee, after recently becoming engaged - to support my daily wedding fix. Over the past three years, I’ve had the pleasure of watching the hive grow and luckily, have gotten the chance to work with Mrs. Bee and meet some of the fabulous contributors of WB and WB PRO. And, my sister-in-law, Brooke, also happens to be the amazingly talented Mrs. Cupcake, so in a way being a contributor to WB PRO is bringing this full-circle for me! ![]()
I couldn’t have been more excited when Bee asked me to join one of the most supportive and comprehensive wedding communities. I’m beyond excited to be here to share my story, ideas and inspirations with all of you!
So without any further ado…
My company, Inspired Goodness was born in early 2008, a few months after settling back into daily life after returning from our honeymoon. Faced without a wedding of my own to plan, my days were filled with a longing for finding chic birdcage veils and the latest letterpress invitations. Not looking to return to a 9-5 career, I channeled my graphic design background and love of entertaining into what I call Creative Event Fulfillment.
Inspired Goodness is an event design (E.D.) company, and since I’ve met countless bride’s who are curious as to the in’s and out’s of an event designer’s role versus that of a wedding planner. For my first post on WB PRO, I thought it might be helpful to explain the difference.
