Today we get to find out if we’re having a little he or a little she. I can’t wait!
Until then, check out the latest little bridal order I made for LeeAnn. She’s one of my rare local brides here in Nebraska and I can’t wait to see how her blue/green/jewel-toned wedding comes together this weekend. I wish her and her fiance all the best!

Several months ago I had lunch with my friend Jenny, who ordered a felt flower kit to make her own embroidered flower stems at home to keep in a vase on her desk. The other day, she sent me the results of what she had put together–I love these so much!

Last year I worked with a beautiful Swiss woman named Floriane who married her dashing husband Lionel last March. Check out my original post about Floriane’s flowers. Her wedding was gorgeous and she has been gracious enough to answer some questions about the planning process! Photos by Luca Etter.

Last weekend, two of our oldest friends, Jon and Sarah, got married at the beautiful Western Heritage Museum downtown. After the fantastic job that Minornite did with their engagement photos, I knew that the pro wedding shots would be to die for.
Here are some of the questions I’ve received in my inbox in the last few weeks. Feel free to contact me any time through e-mail at meg@princesslasertron.com, twitter @lasertron (which is easiest for me), or by leaving a comment here!

Q: What are your favorite tools? (From Dirsta Paola)
A: I love using decorative fabric scissors–Fiskars makes some pretty good ones. When I work I also always use a felt needle book made by Jenn Maruska–it holds my needles, scissors, and threads and it’s perfect for traveling while I work. (I have to say, I wish I thought of these first! The little embroidered pictures are to DIE for!)
I also love pom pom makers for stress relief, the awesome camera tripod I got from my grandma, and my iPod Touch (totally replaced the phone for me).
Rebecca Sutterby, owner of Sugar Creations was asked by a national bridal magazine to design a wedding cake for a special issue next year. She drew inspiration from one of the bouquets I made last year, and the contacted me to give me the details!

Whew!
A few days ago, a cake decorator from Kansas e-mailed me and said that she had been asked to design a cake for a photoshoot in a national bridal magazine, and when looking for inspiration on Flickr, she came across a bouquet I made for Jessica, one of my past brides:

Ashley Nicole and her husband Bryan got married yesterday in Wisconsin… I’m anxiously awaiting photos from the professional photographer couple, but until then I can show you guys some shots of the flowers I made for them!
Each of the four bridesmaids had a different colored bouquet…

Sheryl is one of my rare local customers who was referred to me by Sandi, another woman I previously worked with.
Hilary McHone is a Ford Fiesta agent who was chosen to take part in this innovative and creative social media experiment, traveling the country, taking photos, and documenting her adventures along the way through her blog and flickr site.
Every month, all of the Ford Fiesta agents receive a “mission,” and Hilary has been achieving them in the most amazing ways. In July, she fulfilled the “design” mission by planning her wedding using only independent artists and vendors found online through social media, which is how she found me, which is how she got her bouquet for her July wedding!

Another one of Hilary’s goals is to visit every state and stay overnight at someone’s house who she met through social media. This weekend she was staying at my parents’ house (my mom actively follows her twitter and blog) and I drove over last evening to finally meet her!
