If you’re like me, you’ll look at these photos, sigh longingly, and think “I wish I could have been there!” Heather and Kevin organized a destination wedding in Cabo, Mexico that was simple, elegant, and crafty all at once. I think Heather explained it best in her own words:

It was a small event considering Kevin and I both have small families, but I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. A destination wedding was definitely the way to go for us because the only thing we had to do was spend time with the people we love. It was a dream come true.

Earlier this year, Meghan found me through Offbeat Bride and approached me about making flowers for her July 11 wedding. She and her fiance are having a simple and casual outdoor wedding, and she says her dress has a “really beautiful fairy thing going on.” I can’t wait to see the pictures soon! I love a casual wedding.

Katie and James got married last October, and Katie was one of my first customers almost a year ago! I recently got an e-mail from her with links to their beautiful wedding photos taken by Heather Cook Elliot in Milwaukee.

Just a couple of geeks in love. I loved working with Megan and Bob because they are the kind of people I would love to be friends with. They play Dungeons and Dragons every week (yup), watch Sci Fi and are big Dr. Who fans–Bob even dressed up like Dr. Who for the wedding, complete with sonic screwdriver!
Megan and Bob had a beautiful outdoor wedding on a farm which made for some great pictures. My favorite elements include the Chinese takeout dinner, the blue shoes, the umbrella, Megan’s bright blue crinoline, and the post-wedding poker game! Here are a few of my faves–you can see more on photographer Ashley O’Dell’s blog! You can also read the original entry about Megan’s flowers.

• This week I’m revisiting a 2008 article from the New York Times–101 20-minute Dishes for Inspired Picnics.
• My days of using stick-on labels are done now that I have seen these affordable rubber address stamps by Paperwink. There are so many ideas on this site–I can see how their custom labels, cards, invitations, and stationery could easily help you brand your wedding.

Last week on Offbeat Bride, I was scrolling through and saw a familiar face–and it was a profile on Lucy and Travis’ March wedding! Here is my post from last March about her brightly colored bouquet.
Go check out Ariel’s post on Offbeat Bride to read more details about Lucy and Travis’ wedding. Here is my favorite little bit (I love the Cyberoptix ties!! Professor Lasertron is a fan too.):
I tried to set the tone early on with fortune cookie pop-up save the dates and invites that included creative wording on pretty paper. Our colors were lime, fuchsia, teal, and orange because only two colors is oppressive! The girls wore black custom made dresses with a colored feather hair piece and the guys got custom wind turbine graphic ties and Star Wars cufflinks. We had a round of pub trivia after dinner with prizes for first and last place, the guests that stuck around loved it! Voodoo Doughnuts, which bake such delicacies as bacon maple bars, made our own giant heart shaped cake doughnut that we “cut” by biting into it at the same time.
All of these beautiful photos are by Jessica Watson Photography.
Rebecca Turnquist, who took all of these great photos, was gracious enough to send me a few of her favorite pictures from Alisa and Jack’s May 28th wedding. (Here is the post I made about Alisa’s flowers after I finished them!)

I was asked to create a green and yellow bouquet for Hilary McHone of Pasadena, who was also selected as a Ford Fiesta agent. Her theme for July is “design,” and her mission is to plan her July wedding using independent artists and bridal services.
Her bouquet matches her car!

• Creature Comforts is a design blog with tons of inspiring resources and photos.
• I’m experimenting with designing my own fabric on Spoonflower, a website that allows users to print their own fabric! You can also browse through other users’ designs, and there are some really gorgeous ones. This one is my favorite because when it’s repeated, it looks like wood plaid!
