I have been wanting to post about this wedding for such a long time now, but had to wait until the fabulous spread came out in Utterly Engaged which is an amazing wedding resource for any bride or vendor. I was so happy to be featured in the online magazine and am glad I can share it with you now! This wedding had such an fabulous team behind it because Aaron & Barbara hand picked their wedding industry favorites, and since Aaron is a fabulous wedding photographer, they knew exactly who they wanted working on their wedding!
This was the first time I had the pleasure of working with Christina from Simply Modern Weddings and I was blown away with her attention to detail and overall design concept. She is not only talented, but one of the sweetest people ever! I was also lucky enough to have Gabriel Ryan Photography documenting the beautiful day. I love Gabriel & Carlie so much and am always overjoyed when I find out they are going to be shooting my desserts. Weddingbee PRO Kristin from The Treasured Petal matched the floral design perfectly with the Spanish Flamenco theme…love her! Those are just a few of the talented vendors at the wedding…definitely check out the end of the post to get the rest of the scoop! So without further ado here are the gorgeous photos!!!

The wedding took place at Casa Romantica, which is located in San Clemente, CA.
This last week was a whirlwind experience! I had just completed the previous week's order, which included wedding cakes, lots of cupcakes, and of course a last minute 800 cake lollipop order (not to mention that my mother was out of town in Hawaii that whole week), and as I sat on my couch at home trying to take a breather, I got a call from none other than the Oprah Show!!! To say I was shocked was an understatement, but of course when they asked me if I could get 500 sugar cookies out for the Ellen Show by Thursday, I said yes! My family knows that I will almost always say yes to anything and then I just try to figure out how to do it!
For all of you who don't know the whole Oprah/Ellen story, Ellen had been trying for quite some time to land on the cover of O Magazine and this past week her wish came true. O Magazine wanted to send her a special gift to congratulate her on the day the magazine came out and that is where I came in. I have to say a big THANK YOU to my whole staff, family & friends for helping me pump out 500 amazing cookies in 48 hours…it was quite a task (along with running a storefront and making other daily orders as well), but they did an amazing job with it! So here are some photos that I took to document the fun experience! Hope you enjoy them!

If you haven't already heard, we have been quite busy over at the shop making 500 cookies for Oprah! To celebrate the new cover of the O Magazine they wanted to send Ellen something very special, SO they decided to send her 500 specialty sugar cookies with the O Magazine cover on them from Sweet & Saucy Shop. We had 2 1/2 days to make all of the cookies and one giant cookie for Ellen! Take a look at the video today to see our cookies on THE ELLEN SHOW!!!
This past Tuesday night I had the pleasure of working with some of the very best in the wedding industry as we put on a Halloween Bash! Since I am a little raced on time today I am borrowing Carissa's, from JL Designs, info from her site! Here's how she describes the fabulous night…
When yelena johnson of the stylish soiree and i decided we wanted to throw a fun halloween party for about 40-50 people it started off very small scale…but once we started tweeting it, the guest count quickly grew to over 150 people! and we just figured the more the better! let them come… ![]()
The initial design concept was kind of a playful vintage but as we got closer to the event and we kept finding new inspirations, it definitely morphed into something a bit more gothic, a bit more victorian and a bit darker…for the florals and decor pieces, i knew i wanted to go with all muted, lifeless colors…nothing bright or vibrant…and almost all of the vessels, candlesticks, platters, gravy boats, frames, mirrors, etc. were thrifted in order to keep an authentic, vintage feel…
I REALLY loved how everything turned out and just hours before the party began, the clouds rolled in, the wind got CRAZY (hello blackouts!) and it made for a perfect, eerie halloween setting…
The incredible photos are the the uber talented Meg Perotti! They are beyond gorgeous! Thanks you, thanks you!

Well, I thought I would quick try to get out a little post on some yummy treats that might inspire you for Halloween! I meant to try and create some new cupcakes for this Halloween, but sadly all of my time got zapped up and so I thought I would show last year's cupcakes along with some new sugar cookies. Hope you enjoy!

Hopefully you know by now that I believe that it's the details that are most important! No matter what event you are trying to put on and no matter what budget you have, you can definitely make your event unforgettable if you spend time on the details. This wedding is a perfect example of that! The fabulous Jesi Haack was at it again and outdid herself with creative touches throughout the event that pulled through the passion and personality of her clients. The main color scheme for their wedding was black, white, and apple green and we definitely had a lot of fun with it! The fabulous venue was the Red Horse Barn and the wonderful rentals were from Classic Party Rentals! Thanks to Matthew Morgan we have gorgeous images of the special day! I think he captured the couple, Ryan & Danielle, perfectly! Of course I had to throw in some of my photos as well since I am obsessed with my camera!

When I first met with the bride and her mother about 6 months ago for a consultation, I automatically knew that I really wanted to book this wedding! They were fun, creative, and full of excitement for their big day. And being from Texas and having a wedding here in California, they had done their homework and found Courtney Toney, from Joyful Weddings & Events, to help plan for their wedding. I can't stress enough how important it is to have a fabulous planner, whether for the whole wedding process or at least just for the day of… they can make your wedding 10 times more enjoyable, creative, and memorable. Courtney recommend Carissa, from JL Designs to our clients too and they fell in love (like they always do!). So now I was really wanting the job and luckily they wanted me too! This was such a fun wedding to plan for and was full of pops of color, fresh flowers, and cute details. When I got to the venue I was blown away with the set-up that Courtney & Carissa had pulled off… it was just perfect! Here are some fabulous photos from Melissa Kelsey Photography of the day… enjoy!

Well, when my sweet friends Gabriel & Carlie, who are also the fabulous photography team behind Gabriel Ryan Photography, asked me if I could help out with some sweet treats for their baby shower, I jumped at the chance! Not only are they the sweetest couple ever, but some of the most talented and amazingly creative too! They also recruited Jesi Haack, from Jesi Haack Weddings, and Carissa, from JL Designs, to help out with the design and florals too… how could I ever turn down that dream team opportunity! Those two ladies surprise me every time with their fresh, new ideas…
Little Lincoln's day was one for the books: the style, creativity, and love behind this event is clearly evident in the photos to come! Everyone added their special touch to the day and it turned out perfect! I am so excited for Carlie and Gabriel and blessed to have them, and soon baby Lincoln, in my life! Another fun perk of the day was that I got to use my NEW CAMERA! I have basically been wanting a professional camera for 4 years now and recently was able to get one for my birthday… I have been ADDICTED ever since! I even bought a new purse so my new little baby would be able to go everywhere with me. Gabriel was kind enough to go with me camera shopping and boy was I happy! I got a Canon 50D, a 50mm lens, and a 28-135mm lens. Of course Gabriel's fabulous photos outshine mine by a million degrees, but I thought I would include some of my detail shots for the heck of it! I hope you enjoy the eye candy!
As many of you probably know, Jesi Haack is one of my favorite wedding planners to work with… her designs, personality, and professionalism make her a fabulous find in the wedding industry! I was so excited when she and I were able to work together on Jessica's wedding! I had the pleasure of getting to know Jessica previously at events at The White Dress in Corona Del Mar. Jessica is a manager there and has had us come and sample our yummy treats for their clients on various occasions. This is a special store for me since it is where I got my fabulous wedding dress a couple years ago. So as you can tell, I was doubly excited to work on this wedding since it was for people I knew! Jesi did an amazing job with the design for the wedding and I thought I would share some words from her blog that described the event…
“When Jessica, manager of The White Dress in CDM, hired me to design and plan her wedding, I squealed at the opportunity! Besides the fact that Jess & Eric are BEAUTIFUL people, they have such a clean, classy, modern style. My favorite part was that Jess gave me FULL reign so my crazy mind was whirling! The only thing they insisted on was having a cocktail party style of event with lots of EATING, DRINKING, and DANCING! We were working with a tight budget, so it was so fun pushing through the challenge and thinking outside the box… and outside the box is my favorite place to be! My AMAZING team created 500+ paper flowers to flood this event with style and sass.”

Well, since there has been a lack of blogging these last couple months that only has to mean one thing… lots and lots of cakes!!! Here are just a couple cakes that I thought I would share with you. We've had a lot of fun special occasion cakes lately, some small and some large, but all of the clients behind the cakes were a blast to work with and hopefully enjoyed the cakes we made them!
First up is the flip flop cake that we made for a recent 50th birthday party that was hawaiian themed. It was a ton of fun to make and the hibiscus flower that my sister made was the perfect accent to the cake!
